The obscurus lore that is central to the plot, revolves around children being punished, locked up, beaten, and forced to hide something they were born with and can’t control, in a world where people like them are forced to hide who they really are for fear of public backlash, and all that bottling up results in them eventually exploding and hurting themselves and others

Ten and a half! One day is taken up by testing, one is JA in a day, another is our culture celebration. The half day is intramurals. So really...7 more days of actual teaching left.

If your job can be taken by a hypothetical unskilled, non-English-speaking illegal immigrant or outsourced worker, I’m going to give you some bad advice.

I’m going to give you the same bad advice you gave millennials: stop whining, you’re not entitled to anything and nobody owes you a job.

I’m going to give you the same bad advice you gave minimum wage workers: stop being lazy. Get a skill. work harder and you’ll move up.

I’m going to give you the same bad advice you gave sexual assault victims: you should have made better choices and this wouldn’t have happened to you.

And when you find that this advice is not helpful or even true, then instead of attacking your fellow worker, the one who’s willing to work for less than a legal wage to feed his family, maybe you should go after the structures of power that allow and incentivize your employer’s choice to relocate your job.

As if being a teacher in 2016 wasn't hard enough...

We’ve got water bottle flipping, dabbing, random shouts of “Harambe!” and “21!” filling our classrooms.

We have had to have serious talks about killer clowns and being faced with deportation.

BUT Halloween was on a Monday and Thanksgiving is ridiculously early this year, and Christmas is on a Sunday. So that is almost 4 solid weeks of Christmas rabies.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse.

For those not following on twitter - Mike Pence went to Hamilton tonight - got booed by the entire audience, was subjected to massive extended applause after “Immigrants, we get the job done”, and then King George sang “On Your Own” directly to him leading to a three minute standing ovation for the King.
