Whoâs a dramatic boy?
This footage of Elmo after messing up a take on Sesame Street is peak relatable
In Elmoâs voice: âI only had three lines!â
Okay but please watch the whole video. Itâs just over a minute.
1. Robin Williams making off-the-cuff jokes that are definitely not Sesame Street appropriate.
2. The slow zoom in on Elmoâs face at the end.
3. Robin Williams

Robins Williamsâ laughter in the background is the most heartwarming, mood lifting thing I have ever heard.

bring back Georgian-era sentence structure. fuck this single clause Hemingway bullshit; I want to string the reader along for pages, to link, however disparate, an endless array of actions using every form of punctuation I can imagine - even those I rarely use - and generally be as incoherent as possible (though it is to be said that this is for internet and casual use, and not for increasing the impenetrability of research papers, a far less noble goal than the one I proposed).
Laugh rule.

I FOUND IT GUYS I SPENT HALF AN HOUR LOOKING FOR THIS VIDEO AND ITS HERE
Always reblog peent.

@rosiebeans
This is an internet classic that must continue to be reblogged. And I keep thinking about all the kids who have never seen it and how big a smile most of them will have. It is a silly video that somehow captures a particular internet moment.
love letter from a scientist
I am not a poet. I am a scientist. I can measure the exact frequency of your voice when you speak my name, but I cannot explain how it resonates with such perfect clarity down my spine. I can describe the process by which you inherited your motherâs hair and your fatherâs smile, but I cannot explain where the twinkling galaxies in your eyes came from. I am baffled by the apparent gravitational anomaly that draws me to you with a force far too great for your size. I know of no way to quantify the volume of your presence in a room.
I am not a poet. I am a scientist. Prose is not my specialty. I will never be able to combine words to craft sonorous verses as easily as I combine chemicals in a flask, but know this â to me, you are every bit as fascinating as the view through a microscope. To me, you are a mystery greater than any cat in a box, and are fraught with as much uncertainty. Each day brings new understanding of you, and the knowledge that there is still far more to discover.
I am not a poet. I am a scientist, and there is nothing a scientist loves more than the the pursuit of discovery.
This really encapsulates my life
Still on of my all time favorites

I AM GOING THERE NEXT YEAR WTF I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS AND I AM PISSED
Hey English teacher type educhums!
Because I clearly have too much time on my hands and Iâm avoiding my thesis, Iâm creating a reading challenge grid for students that I potentially want to try out this year (pending on if my new HoD/school will let me).
It basically runs in two forms - team challenge and whole class. A snippet of the rules would be:
Students work in teams of 4-5 to claim as many squares as possible
Each square can only be claimed once by anyone in the class
A book can only be used for one square (no double dipping for squares)
Students can individually claim a maximum of five squares for their team. Any claimed after that are considered âwhole class squaresâ
Students can only claim a maximum of two squares per category for their team (claiming whole class squares sit outside of this parameter)
A square claimed for the whole class cannot also be claimed for teams (gives an extra incentive to âblock offâ the competition)
Students can claim a further three squares as whole class squares once they have reached their team quota.
Iâve got a larger list of rules that step these out further. Awards are chosen based on class and can be negotiated with the class or you can just make the executive decisions on that front.
Iâve just got to make the individual reader cards that need to be filled out for each square (some will have specific things that theyâll need to fill out - deters them from just cutting and pasting responses and make it a more personalised response).
Anyone interested in a copy?

âPrinces and counties! Surely, a princely testimony, a goodly count, Count Comfect, a sweet gallant, surely! O that I were a man for his sake! Or that I had any friend would BE a man for my sake! But manhood is melted into courtesies, valor into compliment, and men are only turned into tongue, and trim ones too. He is now as valiant as Hercules that only tells a lie and swears it.â
(Beatrice, Much Ado About Nothing; Act IV, scene i)
6 Questions to ask when youâre making a tough decision
1. What option would I choose if I knew I would definitely succeed?
2. What would I do if I didnât feel scared?
3. Who can I talk to whoâs been in my shoes?
4. What are the likely outcomes of each choice and decision?
5. What is the worst thing that could happen; what is the best thing that could happen?
6. Am I making this decision for myself, or am I choosing to please other people?
