Sick with the flu. I've been in bed literally all day. And now I can't sleep. My body aches so bad and this ibuprofen still hasn't kicked in yet. I think I'm immune. I feel so hot but when I peep out my legs I get cold again. I just binged on some sweets hoping I'd sink into a food coma. Didn't work.

Dude so I have this crush on my lifeguard. I mean I didn't really notice him all that much before. Sometimes he fills in for my instructor when she's absent so we've spoken several times. But most of the time, he's just up there sitting in his lifeguard booster seat wearing his shades and huge baggy clothes. I wonder if he notices me swimming down below. I bet he's sleeping half the time. I wouldn't blame him, it IS freaking 8 in the morning. Well just two days ago, he was substituting again and as I was walking towards my lane, he said "Good Morning Amy." Dude knows my name. And dude said it in a tone that was more than how a teacher would greet his students. With an emphasis on the "Morning." Haha. Me probably over-analyzing things. But it sounded like he was happy to see me or something. Haha, and because of that, I now notice him. Sad thing is, I have no idea what his last name is. How's a girl 'spose to get her creeping on??! 

Watching Catching Fire tonight with the girls! I'm so excited. I read 75% of Catching Fire like two years ago and got bored for some reason. But after enough convincing that the end was worth it, I gave it another try and re-read it a few weeks ago so everything is SUPER DUPER FRESH IN MY MIND! So ready. 

And ooo, going home for Thanksgiving extra early this year. I originally booked a flight for next Tuesday a month ago but just realized I have no work, research, or swim lessons next week, so HECK, I'm going home early! Being cheap because plane tickets are $250+ right now for one way so I'll be boarding the Viet Bus for $65. Hey HEY! Only downside is it'll take me ten times the amount of time to get there. :((( I would have left by now if it weren't for tomorrow's Friendsgiving Potluck. I'm so excited for all the food! AHHHH. Be jealous, foods gunna be sooooo good. But yahh, I'll be leaving the following morning.

Dude. I forgot to write about this but on Sunday when I was flying back from Las Vegas, I was listening to my music when they announced that it was time to turn off all electronic devices. For me, this is usually the time to discreetly tuck my headphone wires into my sweater and even use my hair to hide it. 10 seconds later I feel a strong poke on my left arm and I open my eyes to see the lady sitting next to me glaring at me. I took out one earbud and then she scolded at me, "YOU HAVE TO COMPLETELY TURN OFF YOUR PHONE." And then awkwardly, as she watched me, I turned it off. I never turn off my phone when I fly, and I've been doing this at least 10 times a year for the past 6 years. And nothing's happened. I'm sure flight attendants know that not every passenger has their electronics turned off. In fact a survey showed that 1/3 of passengers have admitted not turning off their devices during takeoff/landing. I'm not angry with this lady or anything because maybe she truly believed that we were going to crash if I left my one cell phone on. Or maybe she is just one heck of a law abiding citizen. But someone needs to inform her that the Federal Aviation Administration has recently relaxed their rules on mobile device use on airborne craft during all phases of flight. Anyways I guess I'm only writing this because I'm feeling butt hurt for getting yelled at by a stranger. Hah, not the first time it's happened (once for tailgating someone).
