“You’d be surprised what he may do if he’s in a good mood,” Ana replied calmly. “There are too many kids around that enjoy taking what’s not theirs. Besides, you’re barely of legal drinking age.”

“Monsters appear at our borders all the time, they’re literally attracted to our auras or whatever,” Noah said, “Granted not in the magnitude or frequency but panic and hysteria only makes things worse.”

"You’re preaching to the wrong person, Noah,” Ana shrugged. “Perhaps you could go and calm the kids instead.”

“Some days I really wish we could get something stronger than ginger ale around here,” Dante grumbled more to himself when he set the glass down. “I wouldn’t mind going to grab some and sneak it through, but good luck trying to get out of camp with everyone on high alert,” he complained further.

"You could ask Father to send you something, not that I approve of anyone getting their hands on alcohol around here,” Ana commented.

“Sobbing and yelling are very distinct and if we were going to battle, I would know about it,” Noah said, rubbing his temples in hopes that it would get rid of his headache, “People need to stop panicking. Don’t panic is literally the first thing that Chiron said to us this morning.”

“What were you expecting? If you tell kids not to do something, they always do the opposite,” she shrugged in reply.

“What is with all the yelling?” Noah asked, approaching the other, “Seriously, is there any need.”

"Battle cries. Or sobbing,” Ana observed, not looking up from her book.

“I am not making a bigger deal of this than I should be– Valentine’s Day is like Christmas to us Aphrodite kids,” Kendall insisted, seeming to be in a rather heated argument with another over the holiday. Her attention was torn away briefly by somebody addressing her, “Sorry, what do you need? I’m kind of in the middle of something here,” Kendall asked, turning to face the newcomer in the conversation.

“You had the same argument last year. And the year before,” Ana sighed. “I don’t think you’ll go far with someone who doesn’t want to listen.”

“There’s five of them protecting the place so we need to be quick. In and out. No distractions. No trying to flirt your way in.”

"Fine, let’s do this. I do think this plan is going to fail, but at least we’ll be in this together,” Ana chuckled as she stood up from her table.

“Finally,” he whispered to himself when he spotted the arch. He needed to make just a few steps more to reach the camp, he was only those few steps away from home. Wiping the rest of the blood off his face, he carefully moved straight ahead. A little smile appeared on his tired face. He took a deep breath once he found himself inside the borders, his legs finally giving up. But he could rest now, he was safe. 

Ana was on her morning run when she suddenly noticed someone near the arch. The person looked familiar and she took a hesitant step forward until she saw that blonde mop of hair that made her start running. She tried not to cry as she threw herself at Wesley. “Wes! I knew you’re alive!” Ana sniffled.
