“Normally I do carry a short sword. But right now we really aren’t in ‘daily use’. I’d rather have it with me just in case monsters storm the camp. Can’t really be too careful.” He said with a shrug. 

“I mean I’d argue that you’re a little over-prepared but I get that we’ve all got our own things that are making us feel a little more secure right now.”

Alastair wasn’t sure what he thought of the monster attacks. His sleep was interrupted with the news and now everyone was on high alert. He didn’t know what to think about it all. On one hand he was pissed that he was interrupted. On the other if things were finally moving along, Alastair was determined to end it so things could return to normal. Which could be good. He could sacrifice a few hours, days, weeks, of sleep for a (hopeful) lifetime of rest. So he was ready. Instead of leaving his scythe in his room, the son of Hypnos carried it with him now. The long 5 foot handle was a deep black with the blade being a stark contrast with its ivory color. Alastair dug the but of the handle into the ground and he leaned on his staff as he watched everyone go by. “Careful. Don’t want to touch the blade. You won’t wake up.” He warned the person approaching. “Don’t worry. Luckily I’m Greek. And I don’t take after dad’s Roman form and I don’t kill those who sleep at their job.” He teased. 

Kendall watched the young man parade through camp dragging the 5 foot long scythe around. She squinted at him slightly and it seemed to catch his attention because he spoke up shortly after her look. “I didn’t plan on touching it,” she replied simply, “But you do realize you look like some sort of Grim Reaper trainee walking around with that, right? I’d reccomend some more subtle weapons for daily use,” Kendall added.

“I can’t believe February is almost over. It feels like it’s only started. Is it just me?” Dakota looked at the other and laughed awkwardly, “Okay maybe it’s just me.”

“Honestly February barely happened,” Kendall admitted, “So it’s not just you. Besides, we’re leading into March now and I feel like I was celebrating New Years like yesterday.”

“Problem? No. Not at all. A distrust of love magic? Absolutely.” He pointed out with a shrug. “And glitter gets everywhere. It’s probably even worse than the love magic.” 

“You make it sound like we throw love magic around left and right. That would be Eros darling,” Kendall corrected. “That’s kind of the whole point with glitter. Nobody ever uses glitter if they want to be subtle or forgotten. If you haven’t noticed– the Aphrodite cabin doesn’t do subtle.
