“Look I’m all about beauty sleep but... you need to have time for shopping and spa treatments too,” Kendall mused. “Are you not getting enough sleep lately or something? Maybe take that up with the Hypnos kids.”

“I mean I’m not just Head of Aphrodite cabin. I’m also the HBIC around here no matter who tries to tell you otherwise. I know everyone and anyone, whether we’ve spoken or not,” Kendall insisted with a casual shrug. “You don’t get out much do you?”

Christian put his head in his hands. “Not really,” he replied. “I have such a migraine.”
“Do you want something for that? I should have some aspirin or something stronger if you need.”

“Hm? Oh, did you not want me to comment on it? I must have missed that memo.” Lily said, tilting her head at her sister. “What are we drinking?” Lily asked, not taking much for her to give in.
“Very funny, Lil,” she rolled her eyes lightly. “Prosecco. I was feeling bougier than usual,” Kendall replied, pulling up a glass for Lilian and pouring it for them both. “I haven’t tried anything from this brand yet so let’s hope it’s good.”

“Careful where you tread, Ken, you’re not far behind me,” Ronnie teased, grinning as she kissed his cheek, “I would say you didn’t have to do that but I know what your response would be,” He said, chuckling as he took the gift, “Thank you.”
“But I am still younger and I will milk that... forever really,” she admitted with a grin in return. “Smart boy,” Kendall teased. “How are you celebrating your birthday this year?”

Ciara held up the top, “This?” She asked, “Umm… some vintage store in Brooklyn. I’ve had it for a few years and it still fits. Perks of never having a growth spurt I guess.
“Well it’s awesome. You should wear it more often.”
“That’s kind of cool,” Kendall admitted, nodding to what Ciara was holding. “Where’d you get that?”

“What did I say about commentary when I’m day drinking?” Kendall warned her sister as she popped open the bottle. “I will hear none of it. You either join me or let me live my life.”

“Well now that you’ve mentioned it...” Kendall began teasingly before moving to press a kiss to his cheek instead. “I’m kidding, happy birthday babe. I got you a little something,” she added, holding out a gift for him.

“Normally I do carry a short sword. But right now we really aren’t in ‘daily use’. I’d rather have it with me just in case monsters storm the camp. Can’t really be too careful.” He said with a shrug.
“I mean I’d argue that you’re a little over-prepared but I get that we’ve all got our own things that are making us feel a little more secure right now.”

“Exactly!” Dakota said, “Next thing you know it’ll be April and then May and then it’ll be Christmas again.”
“I kind of hate it to be honest,” she replied. “Makes me really think about how I’m getting old and how I’m spending the short time I’ve got left. Boring and scary shit like that.”

She wanted to sleep, really. But tonight just wasn’t her night. Terrors plagued her dreams, as they often did; so, all she could do was sit in the dark, staring out at the water.
“What are you doing out here so late?”
“I could ask you the same question,” Kendall replied once a voice broke the silence of the night. She looked to see it was one of the Apollo cabin members. “So, what brings you out here then?”

Alastair wasn’t sure what he thought of the monster attacks. His sleep was interrupted with the news and now everyone was on high alert. He didn’t know what to think about it all. On one hand he was pissed that he was interrupted. On the other if things were finally moving along, Alastair was determined to end it so things could return to normal. Which could be good. He could sacrifice a few hours, days, weeks, of sleep for a (hopeful) lifetime of rest. So he was ready. Instead of leaving his scythe in his room, the son of Hypnos carried it with him now. The long 5 foot handle was a deep black with the blade being a stark contrast with its ivory color. Alastair dug the but of the handle into the ground and he leaned on his staff as he watched everyone go by. “Careful. Don’t want to touch the blade. You won’t wake up.” He warned the person approaching. “Don’t worry. Luckily I’m Greek. And I don’t take after dad’s Roman form and I don’t kill those who sleep at their job.” He teased.
Kendall watched the young man parade through camp dragging the 5 foot long scythe around. She squinted at him slightly and it seemed to catch his attention because he spoke up shortly after her look. “I didn’t plan on touching it,” she replied simply, “But you do realize you look like some sort of Grim Reaper trainee walking around with that, right? I’d reccomend some more subtle weapons for daily use,” Kendall added.

“I can’t believe February is almost over. It feels like it’s only started. Is it just me?” Dakota looked at the other and laughed awkwardly, “Okay maybe it’s just me.”
“Honestly February barely happened,” Kendall admitted, “So it’s not just you. Besides, we’re leading into March now and I feel like I was celebrating New Years like yesterday.”

“Problem? No. Not at all. A distrust of love magic? Absolutely.” He pointed out with a shrug. “And glitter gets everywhere. It’s probably even worse than the love magic.”
“You make it sound like we throw love magic around left and right. That would be Eros darling,” Kendall corrected. “That’s kind of the whole point with glitter. Nobody ever uses glitter if they want to be subtle or forgotten. If you haven’t noticed– the Aphrodite cabin doesn’t do subtle.

“Alright you win, I’ll leave them alone. But only because you have vodka.”
