The ai accusations are getting a little nutty considering I am a seventeen year old doing finals and you guys are telling me to kill myself over this but alright

right now I can give you this quick sketch to show you that I’m an actual artist because some of you guys are just downright nasty.

Learning a new program that automatically records your process. Here’s the face, the sketch, my layers, my guidelines, my Apple Pencil, and the start of my process.

This is it in the starting layer I start by the head and go down to the shoulders

This is how I worked off the bottom layer and drew over it and added the arms and some details after

I’m honestly sick of hearing the same thing over again. Yes, I’m an artist. No this isn’t ai.

No these sketches aren’t the same skill level. They’re sketches. Both on mediums I’m not used to (first is CSP, second is a sketch.) I don’t do physical character art, I do realism and impressionism paintings. I’ve used paint tool SAI most of my time as an artist

Yeahhh my sketch isn’t the same quality. I’m still in high school, still in finals season. I worked several weeks on my Annabeth picture so no, my quick ten to five minute sketches aren’t going to equate to the work I put into my finished, rendered, colored picture.

I’m still learning the liquify tool, the transform tool, the different weights in my pens and the different types of pens. The stabilization isn’t the same. The weight isn’t the same. This makes it complicated for me when drawing because I had specific settings on SAI and now trying to translate that to a new program is difficult.

Edit!!! since this is getting more traction omg let me talk about what i was thinking. For the design in the back I was kinda tryna go for Athena to her left looking over her shoulder like. Always standing in her mothers shadow her mothers always watching and then I just took inspo the swirls from some Greek vases

edit 2: someone said this was ai on twitter bc the pattern on the shirt and oh boy 🤩 art so good I get my first ai accusation. no I just suck at drawing that dumbass Greek pattern 😭

“Learn how to draw” I know how to draw, thank you. This isn’t AI. Just because I’m not a perfect artist and I make mistakes doesn’t mean it’s AI and ai is rotting your brain at this point

People have been using ‘Chb’ with a scribble of a horse in the old art but not adding camp makes you upset?

The pupils are blobby because it’s mixing with the upper lid shadowing along with the fact that I didn’t take out my fucking protractor when I was drawing them, I didn’t realize we had to draw exactly 360 degrees or it was invalid

The armor isn’t matching up because that’s a bandage on the left side and on the other side I was trying to add those little rectangular chunks on the end of the sleeve to make it more dynamic and I used this as my reference too, the main plate then the two moveable sections under it.

didn’t add that to the other arm because I wanted the bandage to be visible

The beads don’t line up because I wasn’t counting. I was just drawing. I’m not a pjo expect I made it pretty clear I’m new to the fan space

I don’t think ai looks ‘good’ But to be seventeen and be accused of faking your art at first felt a little good because I didn’t think I was really that good that people would think I’m actively lying about creating my own work

The eye corner has those little lines because I was sketching and neglected to fix that part because I was focused on the hands. originally the eye shape was a lot smaller so the bottoms came up to the pupil but I felt like I didn’t like that it felt like she was scowling not upset / sad

Like my god obviously I’m not going to be perfect and lines are going to overlap I’m not even out of high school yet. I’m really proud of my art and you’re not going to change that.

You can't use shit lineart as an excuse. You can't use your AGE as an excuse. If literal PRE TEENS know that AI is wrong, so should you. You should also know, that lying to people online, is bad!!

To give you some credit, your actual article [or at least i hope it's yours] is gorgeous! It's not "proof" you're the original artist, but it's proof, you CAN draw! I'm sorry you feel so insecure that you revert to AI art, your art does look good!

Also, to the address the comments saying shit like "OH, FINALY SOMEONE WHO DOESNT DRAW ANNABETH BLACK"

In the comments they were claiming that I didn't know anything about the process of art. They said that they "didn't 'render' a cleanup sketch" and then claimed I would know that if I did art myself. Which I do. Thanks.

Here is an example of a 20 minute sketch of mine.

You can clearly see that it's messy

Next is the cleaned-up version. About 45 minutes of work total.

It's noticeably more clear, and it aligns with the skill level of the messy sketch.

Now I never ended up rendering this sketch in particular, but I do have a piece with the same character and similar position.

This IS a different piece altogether, but it's a finished work. It aligns with the skill level of my previous sketches. It is a traditional piece, I used a brown colored pencil to sketch, ohuhu markers to color, and a micron to line. I spent about two hours on it. It's very clearly mine.

I'm not trying to say I'm a great artist (I'm not, i still have a lot to learn), that's not my point. You can think my art is sh!t if you like. But at least it's mine.

Ohhh btw, I finished the art! No ai used bcs fuck that shit. I learnt how to draw since I was nine. I have three art books where I cringe everytime I see my old art. But it's my own art. And I'm proud of that.

Yeah no. This is 100% AI slop. Going "haha people think it's ai that means it's good right?" Isn't convincing. But you know what? Let's count the ways this is absolutely AI starting with-

You don't "just suck at drawing that pattern" the way it flips and morphs and can't even keep a consistant shape is a hallmark of AI. Hell half of them aren't even swirls at the bottom.

Where is the handle to her dagger?

What the hell is she doing with her hands?

Why is her armor completely different on her left and right arms? Hell, why is she wearing that weird half armor at all?

The way that O melts into the linework of the dagger

Her eyes have what almost looks like 2 lines that would be her lower lid

Where are her sleeves?

I'm sure I missed some, but given you're a nobody account with no prior posts, post progress pics or stop pretending it's not AI and fuck off

Just letting you know literal children aren’t going to paint like da Vinci and expecting someone to get every detail right and going on a witch hunt over work they’re incredibly proud of is going to do more damage to young artists than ai itself.

So once again, post wips of the actual piece posted, or stop fuckin lying. Hell, you're using CSP, make a new piece and post the timelapse.

I used a different program. Read the replies and you’d see me saying that. I used paint tool SAI. I merged the layers because I didn’t think I’d get grilled.

OF course the hairs the same. THATS MY STYLE.

edit 3: whole lot of 25 year olds coming for a minor. speed paint coming soon of my new project, I’m using procreate this time so it automatically records your process. 😙 point out all the little details you want, I’m 17 and I’m not perfect. I hope it makes you feel good to try and tear someone’s work down because you see some inconsistencies that are typical in art. ai is actually rotting your brains
