The Social Network (2010) dir. David Fincher
Dear Chris:
I did a lot of bullshit when I met you in 2013. And 2014. And 2015. I was a really shitty person to you. I took advantage of you. I made you feel like a fool.
But you know, that works two ways.
In the first two weeks I knew you, you told me maybe I should shave my body hair. When I moved in with you, you would absolutely not be my boyfriend. But, you would act like my boyfriend. And when things bothered you, you would never tell me. We didn’t do confrontation.
You used me to pass the time. I knew you were never physically attracted to me. I knew you didn’t care about making me cum because you never went down on me. You and I used each other. I used you to forget about men I actually loved.
We stayed friends because we thought the same way. But the truth is, I’ve never been myself around you. I’ve never felt comfortable being who I am because you would just make me feel bad.
I know you cared about me. And I cared about you. In 5.5 years, we went through a lot together. Breakups, STDs, loneliness, eating away our feelings, making fun of other people.
But you would always very passive aggressively, in a “joking” way, remind me of what a piece of shit I was to you when I was in a really fucked up way. And the other night, I got sick of it. Really, really sick of it.
So I’m going to say here what I never had the balls to say to you. You won’t read this because you’ve blocked me on Tumblr. And if you do somehow read this, I hope it fucking hurts.
Guess what? Your relationship with Adria was toxic. She doesn’t think about you. She doesn’t miss you. She doesn’t long for you.
Kat was a broken mess you wanted to fix, but for once, the tables got turned and she got bored of you.
You’ve never been able to love anyone besides those two women, and I think you were in love with the idea of the latter.
Guess what? Everyone has trauma. It doesn’t mean we should put all our chips into a relationship that we only briefly want. It doesn’t mean we should make people believe we love them when we don’t, sometimes for years. Trust me, I know first hand.
You use women. You make them feel like they really matter to you until they don’t. And then they come begging for you because you made them believed you loved them when you never did.
You’re a miserable, lonely excuse of a human being. Misery loves company. You hate yourself, and you’re really comfortable in self-loathing because you’ve never tried to get help. You’ve never dealt with anything in your stupid life.
I may have been a loser, a girl who has been infected with STDs thrice (one of those times which was YOUR fault), who went back to my shitty exes, who used you in one of the lowest points of my life.
But the difference is, I admit to all of it. You live in a world of denial and fantasy.
So like this gifset says above, women won’t want to be with you because you’re smart or a nerd.
It’s because you’re an asshole. You’re an unloveable, condescending, self-righteous asshole.
And unless you deal with your bullshit, you’re going to die alone.
PS Also, Thursday really fucking sucks.
