What will people wear on the moon? French fashion designer Pierre Cardin provided a glimpse into space fashion when he launched his “Cosmocorps” collection in 1964. Featuring bodysuits, jumpsuits, and leotards that resembled astronaut uniforms, Cardin captured the spirit of the late 1960s Space Race, stating, “Fashion gives me the opportunity to travel through a futuristic world.”
