Extremely rare, rough artwork by me. Took a few days, but I think this adequately conveys my ideal physique for Zack Fair, especially for a fic concept of mine. ;P

The idea: Zack gets selected to test a new line of experimental SOLDIER supplements intended to improve recovery, nutrient absorption, tissue growth, and training adaptation. At the same time, he discovers a Gongagan immigrant restaurant in Midgar serving hearty comfort food from home - coconut-braised/roasted meats, fish stews, fried plantains/bananas, rice dishes, cassava cakes, hand pies, sweet glazes, and other calorie-dense specialties made from the preserved ingredients common in reactor-polluted Midgar.

The combination proves ridiculous. Zack’s enhanced SOLDIER physiology already makes him superhuman, but the supplements push his body’s ability to utilize nutrients into overdrive. Every meal becomes building material. Every workout produces results. Instead of gaining only muscle, his body accumulates enormous amounts of dense, powerful mass: muscle, connective tissue, and thick layers of lard-like adipose tissue that remain surprisingly functional.

Over the next couple months, Zack becomes absolutely gigantic. His chest, arms, legs, and belly (along with everything else) grow to incredible proportions, yet he never became weak or sluggish. Beneath layers of dense, solid fat is a foundation of absurd SOLDIER strength. He feels less like a man and more like a boulder covered in several inches of living rubber: warm, soft-looking, and massively resilient, but almost impossible to move or hurt.

Despite weighing far more than any normal human should, Zack remains athletic, energetic, and relentlessly optimistic. To him, the transformation was simply proof that his training routine was working. To everyone else - especially Cloud - he’s become a cheerful, friendly, walking fortress built by hometown-style cooking, experimental science, and pure enthusiasm.

Cloud is obviously thirsting HARD.
