Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust✨
Well hello! Loooong time no talk! Last post i discussed how my phone interview for the Disney College Program had moved from the 25th of February to the 13th! Well obviously that has long passed and I am here to now talk about how I felt I did! First and foremost, this is my very first time ever applying to the DCP, and I honestly had done ZERO research before applying. I was shocked at how fast the whole application process went, and realize that it's not like that for everyone. In a span of 2.5 hours I had completed all steps in the application, and was waiting to actually do my PI. This meant that I didn't really know much going into the initial Application or WBI. I wish I would have researched earlier, because I know of some mistakes I made in my application. I didn't list all of my work experience, but only my most recent. I'm pretty sure I only listed interest in some roles, instead of any role I would have been fine with. And I only put Fall instead of Fall Advantage! I know these probably won't affect my chances of getting in, but they could and that scares me:/ Now onto the actual Phone interview! I scheduled mine for 11:15 am pst, on Friday the 13th( I know right, so much superstition🙈) Anyways I woke up at like 9:30-10am and got ready, and then my sister and I practiced a few questions we thought could come up in the interview! After doing my application and scheduling my PI, I had started really researching the DCP, and I came across a lot of great resources to help me prep for my interview! I read blogs, tumblrs, watched YouTube videos, and joined the Facebook group(which I highly recommend doing, you can meet great people there, and potential roomies!😁) Anyways I felt prepared for the interview, without feeling like I was rehearsed. I had made a cheat sheet, and felt really good going in! The actual call came around 11:18am, and I felt nervous, but ready😜 My interview lasted 27 minutes, and my interviewers name was Brandon! I thought I did really well in my interview I answered questions as honest as I could and asked a lot of great questions. I think Brandon and I really got to talking because I found out he actually worked for Disney as a PR manager, and I had really shown interest in PR, and so we spent majority of time taking on opportunities to grow in the Disney Company! I am really hoping to get accepted! I applied to only Disneyland Resort, and I realize it is incredibly competitive, but I still remain hopeful, after all it has only been 19 Days since my interview😝 I guess the only thing to have at this point is Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust✨✨✨
