Anarcha VA was created to be a legitimate and reliable resource for information about anarcha-feminism and a place where anarchist women(womyn) can publish, be heard and share ideas. Although this is a Feminist space, men are also permitted, and even welcome to share anarchist/classical libertarian influenced views. Anarchism’s principles and its current practice conflict. There is sexism within Anarchism. It is important for Anarchists to incorporate this "Feminist Process” into their practice so that ultimately the principles and the practice of Anarchism can become one. From this I hope to deveop political growth, re-education, criticism, discussion and action.

"Anarcha VA" is a Virginia based anarcha-Feminist project founded on October 13, 2013, by radical Feminist Nocturnus Libertus. The project was designed to educate people about Feminism, anarchy, sovereignty, autonomy, and identity. Anarcha VA is a local project which aims to reach an international audience with protests, internet activism, online aranchist courses, and instructional videos. This is an online resource for anarcha-feminist news, articles, videos, images and discussion. This website is intended to create space for the many voices in the intersection of anarchism and feminism, inclusive of all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, ages, and abilities. We live in a world of male economic, cultural, and ideological occupation. Anarcha VA is an orginization that challenges that with revolution.

For too long anarchist feminists have been labeled as the ladies auxiliary of male bomb throwers. The misconception and manipulation of both feminists and anarchist principles and practice have resulted in the use of sensationalist and ridiculing tactics by the state and its spokespeople. This has not only polarised the general populace from potentially liberation concepts but has also polarised anarchist from feminists. In the past and more so recently there has been a uniting of these beliefs and Peggy Korneggers article; 'Anarchism; the Feminist Connection' goes so far as to say that the two genres of thought are inextricable tied although the connection has not been consiously articulated by feminists very often. Kornegger agrues that feminism "emphasis on the small group as a basic organisational unit, on the personal and political, on anti- authoritarianism and on spontanious direct action was essentially anarchism. I believe that this puts women in a unique position of being the bearers of a subsurface anarchist consiousness which if articulated and concretised can take us further than any previous group toward the achievement of total revolution. — Flick Ruby
