“Of course, who’d want to anger a masterpiece?” he responded, not relenting from flirting in spite of the girl’s rather aggressive reproach. Now that she faced him, he cocked his head. “Would you like to have a chat, miss? I’ve been looking for some nice company while I’m here.”
“Ha!” the laugh was short, an eyebrow raising as a hand fell to her hip.
Well wasn’t this an interesting turn of events. Usually a sharp quip and the ire in her eyes would make anyone run, yet here she was - being called Miss.
“Cut the formality, will you? And I can’t tell if you’re just being polite or if you honestly think my anger is nice.”

“I didn’t realize works of art looked so imposing, is there something wrong, miss?” the cat faunus mused, his ears twitching.
“Tch,” she rolled her eyes at the compliment, hand on hip and eyes drifting slowly to his.
He was cute, sure, but she had never been one to entertain flirting longer than a few seconds, and she sure as hell wasn’t in the mood now.
“Damn right they do,” she answered, turning to face him properly. “Especially when people decide to piss them off.”

The word ‘bite’ rung more a tone of horror to Evelyn then what the women intended to be playful. She didn’t wish to return her name, the less the Gwyn knew, the better, but she didn’t wish to look rude, why must it be like this.
“E-Eve…” she muttered in a soft voice, a shorthand of her name, but it was better than nothing at all. “I-I’m…s-sorry again…”
The book was tucked beneath the arm, the gum popping between her lips. One hip jutted out as she snickered and flipped her hair over her shoulder.
“Well, Eve,” she answered, picking up on the other’s nervousness. Of course, she couldn’t know if she was simply shy or if there were some reason. “You got nothing to worry about. Honestly, it was just as much my fault as yours.”
You make me want to live…Not survive; not exist. Live.

This one…was beginning to get on the Daemon Hunter’s nerves. Eyes narrow coldly as her left hand begins to curl into a fist, both dropping to her sides though right is placed on her hip. She’s ready for anything; it’d only take but an instant for her Wrist-Blade to unsheathe and be ready for a fight. Not to mention…that SINGLE advantage she always had in any fight — but it’s a LAST resort, only to be used if it’s life or death.
I doubt it’s that right now…probably just her testing me.
❝ More along the lines of a PROMISE if you raise even a FINGER in hostility against me, girl. ❞
She wasn’t one to make EMPTY THREATS like others did — no, she was WELL KNOWN for her expertise in combat, as well as her BRUTALITY in her assignments. No target escaped her, and they always fell, be it from a blade, or their skulls crushed as if stuck in a massive vice. This one gets in her way, and she’ll become just another CORPSE at the Merc’s feet.
❝ Otherwise, I don’t have a reason to attack. You’re not a target of mine. ❞
Her brow twitched - an mix of emotions flickering in her eyes. On one hand, she was being reckless. The one before her was obviously dealing in some . . . less-than-desireable activities, and she wasn’t in a position to get involved. But since when had Gwyn ever backed down from a challenge? It went against everything in her nature, and even when that small voice at the back of her head ( one that sounded oddly like her mother ) told her to turn, her feet remained planted and a smile tugged at her lips.
Well, no turning back now.
“Then it would seem we’re on the same page,” she spoke slowly, at least forcing herself to be more careful with her words. “If neither of us wants to fight, it would be pointless to do so.”

█▓~;; With each step, the EERIE sounds of small, SILVER bell tied by BLACK fabric around her waist chimes … ECHOING through the darkest of night … she was but a MESSENGER … for those that the QUEEN has taken interest in … to INFORM them that she must bring an individual BACK with her … but a MERE girl stands before her … thus with a sudden HALT of her steps … the ringing of the BELL ceases to RESOUND within the darkness of the woods. Fingertips grace the OBJECT that sat upon her HIP … a sigh emits from her lips as her attention is turned towards the STRANGER … a tilt of the head … for the girl that STOOD before her simply filled her CURIOSITY … perhaps her GODDESS would get some use out of her … DESPITE the very fact that the bell’s TOLL had come to a stop.
❝ Do … you hear the toll of the bell - ? ❞
Silence. The sudden absence of the bell was even more eerie than the initial chime, leaving Gwyn with a sudden cold burrowing down to her bones. Slim fingers twitched in search of the hammer, the cold shaft pressing into her palm as she regarded the stranger with thinly veiled suspicion.
Usually Gwyn gave people the benefit of the doubt, but when they were this goddamn creepy . . .? She wasn’t too inclined to chance a word of kindness.
“What do you care?”
daemcnic:
❝ It wouldn’t exactly be MISTAKEN as you so plainly say. ❞
Indeed, the Mercenary merely eyes the other calmly, arms at her sides moving to gently cross over chest, standing her ground but showing no HOSTILITY to the other. The Halfling Grimm merely kept to herself since breaking away from that WITCH’S control, save for her obvious assignments as a Mercenary that is. Otherwise, no trouble is caused by her.
❝ I may be young, but LITTLE is something you’d be wise not to think of me. ❞
“Ooh, got a mouth on you, don’t ya?” she chuckled, her shoulders relaxed and gaze soft.
But she wasn’t totally passive - no her fingers twitched noncommittally at her sides, just waiting for the stranger to make a single wrong move. Then again, Gwyn liked to give people the benefit of the doubt, even if they were strangers wandering around in the middle of the night.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d say that was a threat.”
"I-I'm sorry i-i didn't mean to bump into you."- lovxbites (sideblogs suck >.<)
“Tch, chill,” she chuckled, flicking hair over her shoulder. “Ain’t like I bite … often.”
There was a wink as she stooped down to pick up a few of the books that had been dropped before rising again.
“I’m Gwyn, by the way.”
Like for a Gwyn in your ask!!
Her eyes slid to his paper and then back to hers. She scribbled his answer down ( paraphrased, of course ) before a light frown tugged at her lips. One elbow jabbing into the student beside her, she leaned over with her voice dropped to the softest whisper.
“You got number six wrong, but thanks for the answer to ten.”
