I am almost done with my story, "The Edelweiss Princess", and as I looked at my pet, Miss Clowee, another inspiration sparked.

The Oleander Symphony, a story inspired by a specific old fairy tale, is set in medieval Malta, and the two main characters were inspired by my pet and one of my good friends' pet.

Bastjan is inspired by Boomer, my good friend, Genelyn's energetic Pomeranian dog.

Snow White is among the legendary princesses brought to fame by Walt Disney. She was the first princess he introduced, heightening his name to the ranks of the animation greats of his era.

It is widely recognised that Princess Snow White and her story were originally documented and published by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. Like many written fairy tales, her story originated from oral folklore, particularly in Germany, intertwined with sombre historical events and other comparable stories throughout Europe.

Inspired by her story, I am writing my own rendition of the Snow White tale and also doing portrait studies of what my princess might resemble. Her name is Maria Blanca, which is directly influenced by the female lead of a well-known Philippine folktale called Ibong Adarna.
