pro tip, if youāre ever feeling overwhelmed or upset for no reason, check the holy trifecta
have i eaten?
have i had water?
have i showered?
these questions will literally change your LIFE. if youāre feeling icky for no reason, thereās a 90% chance itās one of these.
4. Have I slept enough
That one is normally what does it for me
beauty tips to look less like you're actively dying
now of course, if you're following my nutrition tips, you should mitigate the living corpse appearance anyways, but here's makeup, skin, hair, and nail options to keep up the appearance of a normal person
Skin: Using a silicone scrubbie, take off makeup and wash face with an oil cleanser, then wash again with a regular gel cleanser. In the morning, vitamin C serum and then a day cream containing retinol and spf. At night, just petroleum jelly. Cerave sells all of these for cheap and they're recommended by my dermatologist. Use the petroleum jelly on your lips, too. During the day, use carmex chapstick religiously. For your body, use exfoliating body wash and exfoliating gloves. Naturium glycolic acid body wash and bio-lipid lotion are my holy grails. Makeup: You want to look dewy and rested. No matte makeup, it'll settle into your dry skin and you'll look worse. Start with Covergirl trublend in plush plump (or the greenish one if you have redness) to give off the appearance of plumper skin and prime your face. Assuming you have dark circles, you want an undereye brightener. I like Catrice's, you could also layer this over l'oreal's anti-fatigue magic skin beautifier if your dark circles are really bad. No heavy foundation - go for a bb cream. L'oreal magic skin or, my personal fave, wet n wild bare focus skin tint. For blush, avoid pink or peach - you want a shade that'll look natural. Most makeup artists use a red or a berry. If you wear red or berry lipsticks, just use lipstick as your blush, that's what I do with my clinique black honey (which is a great shade for this if you have olive skin). If you're going for red, a great, cheaper option for this would be sheglam colorbloom liquid blush or simply your lipstick like I said. Another berry option that's cheaper than my clinique would be something like wet n wild in my blackberry broke. You'll want a glassy, not powdery highlighter. This can be l'oreal lumiglotion, wet n wild radiance liquid, or an actual highlighter like l'oreal lumi le glass. For powder, just powder your t zone very gently with something like elf halo glow or the catrice blurring loose powder. Do your eye makeup and eyebrows however you want, though I personally recommend learning how to do them properly for your face shape and "animal face type" and learn your color season so everything harmonizes. Set everything down with Milani make it last dewy setting spray. Hair: It needs moisture and volume. A good cheap option is Pacifica salty waves if you don't color your hair and coco peptides if you do. Do a big deep conditioning treatment once a week. marc anthony grow long, l'oreal elvive, or pantene miracle rescue are all good options. Consider oiling your hair, too. research how to do it and what oil to use for your specific hair type. Use a mousse for volume - pacifica makes one that smells like vanilla. You'll scrunch this into your hair when it's soaking wet after your shower. Spritz with a sea salt spray after - ouai is the best, but it's pricy, so feel free to use pacifica's for this as well. Make sure also to trim your dead ends and get a flattering haircut that isn't flat - it'll be easier to hide any thinning with layers, and you won't get the stringy anorexia look. Nails: Get a nail oil, a cuticle remover, and keep your nails trimmed and cleaned, then start wearing press ons (or get gel tips if you can afford it). Bliss kiss nail oil pens are a great option, blue cross cuticle remover, and kiss are cheap, solid press ons. I like the medium length square french, but I was also born in the 90s.
tips that aren't the same list from 2006
you know exactly what dumbass list I mean, and none of that shit is practical, it's giving uwu ana butterfly and we all know it
hi, I'm angel, I'm a nutrition major, and here are tips to keep yourself safe and hide your eating habits that actually make sense. this will not be in any particular order, but
avoid ketosis. i know, i know, you heard it burns fat faster! it also makes you smell like a dog rolled in sharpies and makes you stupid. i'm not kidding, you will be slow as fuck. avoid keto at all costs, carbs are better and healthier than being caught and dumb
take electrolytes and pay close attention to your potassium intake. if you neglect this, you will damage your heart and muscles and run the risk of having a heart attack. i use liquid IV because I have POTS and need the extra sodium, but that brand is also good for ED-havers because it has extra b vitamins
take ultra strength prenatal vitamins. they contain extra folate, fish oil, and dha, all of which are necessary to protect your heart and brain when you're not intaking much food.
For other supplements, I recommend Metamucil to keep your bowels going, iron, vitamin c packets (will make the iron absorb better, I personally use the +immunity ones), b-complex, calcium-magnesium-zinc, and vitamin d. Make sure the b-complex contains b-12. Feel free to send me an ask or dm me for dosages because some of these will depend on where you live geographically or what food you are eating.
find a protein shake you like. I'm a muscle milk bitch personally, but fairlife, premier, etc, are all good. make sure it isn't a meal replacement shake, and make sure it contains at least 20g of protein. these contain vitamins beyond protein that will help you stay healthy. the protein will also keep you full. i recommend using it as milk in coffee because the coffee will also suppress hunger and act as a mild laxative without harming the bowels. don't take your iron along with this, as dairy will hinder the absorption of iron.
don't take laxatives. you're going to give yourself IBD. maybe once a month as an extra cleanout you can do a little miralax, but the natural route is always better. regularly drink coffee and drink specifically senna green tea, they're both natural laxatives. the metamucil i recommend will also keep you going. if you need a bigger laxative effect, blend a whole peeled and seeded orange, a few inches of peeled fresh ginger, juice from a whole lemon, add a tsp each of cracked black pepper and turmeric, blend with coconut water until it's a thin smoothie consistency. drink that, you'll be good.
the best thing you can do for yourself is hide your behaviors behind health food gym girlie orthorexic behaviors. nobody takes orthorexia seriously and they encourage those behaviors. you can cut out whatever the hell you want if you're crunchy and healthy about it.
don't go too crazy about it. old tips would tell you to act like you loved food and it's really obvious. being obsessed with food and cooking is weird and obvious. don't talk about food constantly and make it your whole personality to try to hide, it's bizarre and one of the signs they tell parents to look out for. you have to be nonchalant. food is whatever. you like it, you have favorite meals, but you get tired of tastes quickly, you're picky about textures, you don't like it once it gets cold, etc. it's just fuel and it's meaningless to you. you eat for your health, not for pleasure.
high impact workouts like HIIT and running may not be the best idea. some studies show that high impact exercise stimulates hunger hormones in some individuals. pilates, ballet, and yoga are low impact, high results, and give a very desirable aesthetic. they're also quiet and can be done with a yoga mat and maybe a theraband.
get a job. get a hobby. join a sport. being out of your house as much as possible gives you the largest opportunity for excuses. oh my job catered lunch, oh there were snacks at practice, oh so and so brought something to the knitting circle. this can also be an opportunity to earn or save money (or swindle your mom out of cash by obtaining money for concessions at games and then only getting a diet coke)
if you control your own food, maximize your nutrition. salmon, tuna, sardines. kale, chard, spinach. beans, lentils. berries. protein pasta. pasture raised eggs. the fancy filtered fairlife milk. your body will hold out so much longer if you're keeping it fueled with proper vitamins and minerals.
track your food using cronometer - if someone sees it on your phone and asks, you have a perfect built-in excuse. oh, you don't care about the calories, but it tracks vitamin and mineral intake, and you're trying to make sure you're getting enough of those because you have, say, an iron deficiency or you're worried you're not getting enough omega-3s.
anorexic hair is really obvious. it's from malnutrition and stress. absolutely ensure you're getting enough omega-3s and other fats in your diet (avocados, eggs, oily fish, nuts like walnuts) to avoid the anorexia hair and the sallow, dry skin. this is also why i insist you take vitamin d, iron, vitamin c, a b-complex, and a pre-natal with folate and dha, those will also protect your hair and skin health. also make sure you're trimming dead ends, get a deep conditioner and/or bond repair treatment, do scalp massages, and if it does fall out, start using a mousse for volume and get a cut to maximize volume to hide it.
keep up your oral, skin, and nail health, too. these can also be obvious indicators. if you're taking the vitamins and keeping to the foods i'm recommending, it'll help, but make sure you're brushing and flossing, use the nasty brown listerine, a good dry skin lotion like curel, and a nail oil. keep your nails short if they start peeling, but if they're peeling, you need to take more vitamin d and iron, or you could have celiac disease.
there's no such thing as a broken metabolism, and you can't boost or slow down your metabolism. those are myths. the only way to make your bmr higher is to have more muscle.
extra tip: if you start fainting, tell people you have or think you have POTS. work smarter not harder.
4n4tips I've learned!
~ cravings are not permanent, you wonāt feel them later, wait them out
~ you wonāt care about how hungry you were today when you are at your gw
~ prioritise fibre and protein in your diet, have about 1g of protein per kg (minimum) and about 20g of fibre
~ prunes and green tea work as a natural laxative
~ insulin is so important, if your insulin is high, you are not burning fat. Insulin rises for 45mins to 3h after you eat so cut out sugar and carbs as they rise your insulin higher than other foods, a shorter insulin rise= longer fat burning time
~ walk daily, it takes about 1h 30 to walk 8.5k (which is 10K steps) this burns about 400cals
~ do not have food in your mouth and your hand at the same time
~ you have all the control, hunger is not real itās your brain telling you to eat. Listen to ana instead
~ drink 2.5 to 3L of water a day, this is a non-negotiable for ana, set reminders and alarms on your phone if you need to
~ it takes 21 days to form a habit, 21 days of perfect eating sets you up for life
~ do not eat in front of screens/ eat in the same place everyday
~Meditate as you eat and focus on the food to avoid eating until full
~ 1 pound gained is better than 50, when you binge look at the perspective and just get back on track asap so you donāt spiral
~ comfort eating can be replaced, do not associate food with good feelings, wrap yourself up warm and have a bath if you want to binge
~ if you want to binge, meet up with friends (bonus points if theyāre skinny so you can compare yourself to them) you will not binge if youāre with other people
~ this is your little secret, romanticise it and enjoy it
~ 48% of eggs turns into body tissue, eat at least 1 per day
~ pickles are 0 cals, they are so good as well
~ your stomach is the size of your fist, you donāt need anything more to fill it
~ 4n4 websites: loosertown, butterflyana100.weebly.com, celestarina.wordpress.com, body visualiser, Ed diets on YouTube
~ listen to music and pretend you are who you want to be to distract yourself
~ fast at least 19h a day, I like to do 23h
~ what you think about you become, do not think about fatness or unhealthy foods too much, visualise skinniness and beauty
~ use smaller plates and present your food in a cute way
~ put a pinch of celtic see salt in your water daily for electrolytes and so you donāt pass out (it also has 82minerals)
~ most people binge at night so eat all your food late but at least 3h before bed
~ donāt drink any water 2h before bed to avoid water weight, also cut out carbs and sugar to avoid water weight
~ your metabolism is mainly just how much muscle you have, muscle burns calories by just being there so weight a few times a week
~ trigger yourself if youāre close to going off track
~ use apps to track your fast and food (MyNetDiary or MyFittnessPal for food and Litely for fasting)
~ take vitamins daily, this should include omega-3, multivitamins, biotin, b-complex, turmeric + black pepper, cranberry extract, probiotics, vitamin d
~ massage scalp and do rosemary oil hair masks to avoid hair loss
~ no one is ābig bonedā there is a skinny girl inside you that you can starve out
~ anything can be low cal if you eat the right amount
~ when you stop eating binge food, you stop craving it
~ pretend there is someone with you at all times watching you eat
~ if you have a bf think about them before you want to eat and think about how they deserve a skinny partner and they will love you more if youāre skinny, if you donāt find a hot celeb and pretend youāre dating them, think about them
~ frozen fruits taste like gelato when you chew it, they are also better for you than normal fruits as the nutrients are frozen inside them
~ be delusional, act like a skinny girl to become a skinny girl
Understand the math.
ā1200ā calories needed a day for bodily functions
3500 calories in a pound of fat.
To lose 1lb a week, you must be in a 500 calorie deficit a day.
Sure you could take an appropriate maintenance amount like 1700 calories and then take away 500 and be at 1200 calorie a day, ādeficitā.
Or to lose quicker, 1200-500 is 700 calories.
FEELS LIKE A LOT. But 700 a day is fine. If you are accurate and consistent.
Weigh yourself weekly. And track WEEKLY.
Have a 800 calorie day, then a 600.
A 1400 then a 24 hour fast.
A 500 then a 900.
LOG EVERY THING. If you CANT log it DONT eat it.

being suicidal is not always having an active plan hidden in extreme secrecy and an established date. many times will be something different
being suicidal is not looking both ways while crossing the street, neglecting your physical health and hygiene knowing too well the consequences, not giving your body the proper nutrition - shortly said, not putting any effort into living
being suicidal are good bye letters hidden somewhere in your drawer for months, because they have to stay there - just in case
being suicidal means internally screaming and having tears forming in your eyes when you do not get to spend more time with your loved ones because this could be your last
being suicidal is learning to put on a mask, and wondering how many times you just smiled the next morning after you tried to end it last night
being suicidal is staring at the wall for hours at night and wonder what are your loved ones and pets going to do without you? will they get over your suicide, could they ever?
being suicidal means having an arguable relationship with religion and nobody gives you answers why had the bible decided that taking your life will end you in eternal hell
being suicidal is forcing yourself to stay alive. sometimes you do it to torture yourself and it comes with rage and agony. others time a little spark is curious about the future.
being suicidal is developing an obsession with the afterlife, or quite the opposite, being so caught up into your unbearable pain that if something comes next it doesn't matter, it cannot be worse than this one, right?
being suicidal can be constant cries and screams for salvation. cut wrists because you cannot word how much you cannot be alone right now. swallowed pills because you needed to get to a safe place. running away because you need to know you matter enough someone will come looking

let me put u on. I do this thing I call the cucumber walk š„. Whenever I feel like Iām going to binge I leave the house with no money, only my phone, earphones and (hear me out) one or two cucumbers. I go on a walk and eat them during the walk. I try to walk for at least an hour (in which I burn around 150 cals, so the cucumbers are burnt off and Iām back to negative cals). Lmk if you try it š½š§ø
