Born and raised in Osaka, Japan, moved to New York City in the 1970s to study Fine Art at the School of Visual Arts. Formed The Mad in 1978, a shock performance punk band, debuting the same year at CBGB’s. Nowadays active as multimedia artist and as well-known special effects and make-up specialist in the film industry (credited in pictures such as The Predator, Nightmare on Elm Street 4, Jack Frost, Poltergeist II among others). Died February 10, 2026.
