Adventures of a teenager venturing into poetry

I wonder if I’ll spend all my life,

Waiting for someone to wonder,

If I’ve felt like this before.

They say you reap what you sow,

But sometimes the rain pours too hard,

And causes a flood.

Sometimes the sun shines too brightly,

And you get a drought.

Sometimes a man comes onto your land,

And claims it for his own.

So don’t tell me the story,

Of the man who wanted oranges,

After his apple trees bore fruit,

And expect me to cry.
