Romanticising your life doesn't have to be a difficult thing, start small. Drink your coffee and look out the window, think to yourself how pretty the sky is and appreciate it's colors. When you see a friend, give them a long hug and tell them how much you appreciate them. Sit down once a week and journal about the little things that made you happy that week. Put on some asmr room on youtube with a fireplace and rain and have that as background noise. It doesn't have to be fancy or anything special. It will still work.

Sometimes, I miss people that used to be in my life and feel the urge to reach out and tell them "hey I know we don't talk anymore but I still fold my sweater the way you taught me to". Not in a "I want you back in my life" way but more of a "my life has more colors now because of all the days we spent laughing together and I'm thankful for that".
