Thank you dad for teaching me about love when I was young, emphasizing it over other emotions

It took me my whole life to fully understand it, and will take the rest of my life too

But I fear without being pressed to learn it young, I would have not had that same curiosity for love.

I used to be angry, love is a complex emotion and I didn’t understand how I was supposed to understand it before learning my other emotions, I didn’t know what love was or how to love, though I tried.

I thank you for teaching me it young, because love has always been on my mind. I needed that.

Some of the most abusive and callous people I know claim to be empaths

The greatest liars believe themselves

Those that soak in their own reflection and

make a claim to beauty are narcissists,

They don’t see the ugly inside.

Those that say they are the strongest never had to get up after defeat,

Those that say they are weak have endured the worst hardships.

Those that think their shit doesn’t stink,

Reek the worst.

Those that grow up to become what they hate.

An artist that lost creativity

A cook without food

A mechanic with no tools

A lover with no one to love

A ‘genius’ and their one shot idea

I’ve noticed something.

We can do so good, we can do so well.

But when we make a claim as to what we are,

“I am strong” is ignoring when I am weak

“I am a protector” ignores when I am the aggressor

“I am wise” ignores when I am not.

When we make these claims, we fail ourselves, our expectations of ourselves, because we can’t be what we claim 100% of the time.

We are just people.

Constantly changing, getting better and worse

Why has my own mind been my worst enemy in life, how does it always manage to do that?

Life goes on, and it’s not bad, I’m happy, happier than I’ve been…

But something is just missing. It’s been missing for a long time

I wish everyone the best, God knows I’ve caused enough problems myself. Worst part is I make a lot of accidents, I go in with the wrong approach, I think about something the wrong way, I make a wrong decision.

Why can’t I think through problems better?

How does one cause so many problems when only intending to fix problems?
