Andeshipping after Jane came back from the mountains
- They weren't in a relationship before Jane left, Claire had caught feelings somewhat but didnt want it to come off as 'boss is lonely and just wants someone for the sake of it'. She knew Jane was too focused on her work so she buried her feelings to preserve their friendship. Jane also had feelings but didn't wanna bring them up for the same reasons + Jane had major commitment issues back then.
- How Jane came back: she fell down a small cliff and broke her arm in two places, leaving her with permanent (but relatively mild) nerve damage in her right shoulder. She transmitted a radio signal saying that she was gonna return due to an injury + getting older.
- Claire faked her death for tax reasons, and decided to take an early retirement. She had a radio reciever in her apartment, and rushed right back to team rocket when she heard the message. She decided to stay to help run minor operations under an executive role, because she was bored of doing nothing all day for years.
- After Jane got surgery on her arm, Claire offered Jane a place to stay (spare room at her place) whilst she gets back on her feet and adjusts to modern life. Jane never left.
- They got engaged after just over a year of being together, as they agreed that they weren't getting any younger.
- Claire loves two things. Money and Wife. Giovanni is also there I guess.
- After Jane left, she realised that she never liked men. She'd only liked the security that her Ex-Husband's money and status gave her. She tried online dating for a bit but kept going on dates with women who were still living with their 'toxic ex' and then just kinda decided it wasnt for her. She is a hopeless romantic so when her and Jane got together she made sure to take her on dates across the world.
- Emotions are really hard for Claire to process. She thinks crying makes her weak, even though she's more than happy to comfort Jane when she cries and doesn't think any less of her. Jane is the only person who she's ever let her guard down around.
- Claire really loves her Wife. She prefers to keep her life private so she'll never admit how happy Jane makes her in front of others, but sometimes Giovanni/Matori will catch her stealing glances.
- Jane steals Claire's suit jackets all the time when shes at work. Sometimes Claire will come home to find Jane asleep and snuggling with one. She sometimes gets a little miffed if its one thats just been dry cleaned, but she can never be mad at Jane.
- She realised that she'd fallen in love with Jane after a few months. Jane picked a piece of lint out of her hair and smiled. Claire realised she would die for that smile.
- She was scared to ruin things between the two of them so she ended up isolating herself for a bit. Jane eventually got a bit fed up of being avoided, thinking that she'd done something wrong and cornered her in the kitchen. Claire originally tried to play it off cool but Jane read her like a book. Eventually she just blurted it all out. She was convinced that Jane didn't feel the same way and turned to leave the kitchen, tears stinging her eyes. She didnt expect Jane to pull her into a kiss and call her an idiot. They stayed in the kitchen for a while, with Jane holding her whilst she cried for the first time in years.
- After coming back it was a bit awkward for Jane at first, she had to relearn how to drive and figure out how smartphones work. Claire was always willing to help, but the realisation of how long she'd been gone caught up to Jane a month or so later and she had a breakdown in her room. Claire overheard and rushed to comfort her, holding her and refusing to leave her side until she was feeling okay. They sat on the floor for three hours and Jane had the realisation that she'd already started to catch feelings again. She knew that Claire had a bit of a soft spot for her, but she'd never seen Claire be that caring before.
- She thinks Claire's 'baby snores' are the cutest thing ever, and loves it when she falls asleep in her lap.
- She knew Claire had fallen in love with her, after Claire had drunkenly commented on how Jane's eyes reminded her of the Ocean (one of Claire's favourite things). She didn't say anything for a while because she knew that this was something Claire needed to fully admit to herself first.
- She finds it really funny when Claire gets mad at things. Her Galarian accent comes out and she cant help but giggle. Claire doesnt think its funny but then she sees Jane laughing and she forgets why she was mad.
- Jane can kinda cook? But she plays it up a little because she loves it when Claire gives her cooking lessons.
- Getaway driver. Never shouts unless shes behind the wheel of a car. Claire fears for her life when she drives.
