About fifteen years ago, I'd seen a faux vintage sign in a boutique back home in Holly, Mi, The Black Hat Society, and I'd always wished I'd bought it. Not long after, I'd made my own, different, as the original had no orange nor was the hat as tall or squared off as mine. For my #Inktober 2nd piece, I drew from that, imagining belonging to a real Black Hat Society, with all the #magic and amazing hats members would possess! 🎩 #halloween2015

This came up in my Dribbble feed and I wanted to share it. So many people do not understand that a logo is developed for a specific purpose, it isn't just a symbol representing the name of a business. It's telling you about that business, what its philosophy is, what they do, who they're there for...you can't crowdsource that. You can't "fiverr" that. You should want that type of exclusivity for your business, that is, if it's worth anything to you.
