Reboot coming
So yeah my story here wasn’t going anywhere. I had too many side stories going on, too much time spent trying to fit it with canon lore, and overall it was just stressful. So I’m going to reboot this blog. A soft reboot. Some things will still be established, some relationships will still be the same, others will change or no longer exist.
A portal flashed in the ether of the Distortion World, followed by the scream of a young Riolu as he plummeted towards whatever ground was below him. He landed with surprisingly little impact, and after a moment of groaning, Ben was on his feet and looking around. The purple Riolu soon realized something, he had NO idea where he was. The teleport spell must have gone haywire. "Oh no...Mom is gonna kill me..." He muttered as he shivered, be that from cold in the air or fear wasn't known.
Although the Distortion World seemed to be filled with emptiness and broken landscapes there was path that almost seemed complete. Time and space didn’t seem to exist within this realm, as certain landscapes were shifting constantly, and others were not. Trees would seemingly grow from a sapling to fully grown within minutes. The only thing that remained constant was the single path before him.

The laugh caught him off guard. Still he relaxed almost immediately afterwords, seems he said something right for a change. “Wait, so you can contact him and let him know I’m ok?” He was starting to think ahead now. If he could get a message to Taal then Taal could get a message to his mother! No doubt they’re worried sick about him.
He chuckled once more. “Of course I can. For now, enjoy your stay. Feel free to explore. I will get in touch with Taal soon enough.”
This was quite the coincidence, since it had been some time since he last saw his nephew. It would be a good reunion for sure.
Once again, Ben seemed to calm a moment before that excited look took over his face. He didn’t need further prompting, he ran from the room like a child at christmas. He wanted to get started right away with his experiments!
Malik chuckled a bit as he went off, signaling for one of his servants to keep an eye on him. The Mismagius from earlier is the one who follows Ben.
Ben was already hard at work drawing circles to test mana levels in the nearest courtyard, starting with the simple theory that the mana levels in the distortion world are greater or have different properties. He could care less if someone was watching him, he didn’t mind an audience as long as they didn’t interfere with his work.
The Mismagius was rather interested in what Ben was doing, and watched closely. Meanwhile, Malik had opened a view connection to Taal. "Hello there, nephew. Long time no see"
(Daisuke>Ember ) I see you've finally evolved eh, I've heard you've tackled on a hopeless dratini the otherday, what's up with that?
“It was instinct. I smelled a filthy dragon nearby, so I went after it. It didn’t even put up a fight. But it was so good to kill it and the meat even tasted good.”

Daisuke merely watched and followed the clueless Glittragon as she wandered around. He found it rather amusing…up until he realized where exactly she was headed.
Andras would have his head if he were around and accidentally let Ember into the Dragon area. He quickly used his magic as a green glow appeared around Ember and pushed her the other way “That is the wrong direction to be going and you certainly don’t want to go in that direction and make Andras mad at both of us do you? Of course not.” He said quickly before tucking his wings nervously “How about I show you where the Arena is hm? “
“Huh??”
She was surprised by the sudden force to move her. When he offered to show, she just glared.
“Why didn’t you say you knew this before? Alright alright, lead the way…Yeah, Dad can be a little scary when he’s mad.”
“Cause I thought you knew the area. Guess I was wrong.” He merely said before flicking his ears as he looked at her “…well isn’t that the understatement of the day. ” he said regarding Andras being a ‘little’ scary.
"Oh don't sound so full of yourself, I only just evolved so my memory from before isn't too great. I was basically a baby." She rolled her eyes at that. "But yeah. Daddy is scary when he's mad. So come on, show me the arena and we'll have our match"
A surprise visitor

“Ooh now that you mention it, I am kinda hungry. But no, not fruit. Got any meat? Like, maybe some dragon meat?” A bigger body means a bigger appetite. Even her tastes seems to have changed since then.
Isabelle frowned at the request. Stuff like that wasn’t available in the town. She didn’t even know what dragon meat was, but it didn’t sound appetizing.
“I’m afraid there isn’t stuff like that here, Ember. The most I can offer you is fish from the rivers and oceans. You see a lot of us villagers eat mostly fruits and vegetables, with the occasional fish when ever we feel like catching it of course.”
“I can get my fishing rod and catch some for you if you want.”
"Ah well that's a shame, no dragon meat. But fish is fine too. Dragon meat is just my favorite~ so where can I find some?" She licked her lips at the thought of fresh fish.

Ember gives Isabelle a big fluffy hug, grinning and giggling. “I can finally hug you, now that my arms finally grew out. And no, mom’s not here today. She’s busy with dad, working on some things. I’m actually still training too, but I’ve been given a break. I still have to get used to my new powers and abilities”
“Oh, I see. When you return home, please tell her I said ‘hi’.”
After the hug, Isabelle climbed down from the ladder. Ember might be hungry and the golden pup remembered that she loved fruit. It was a good thing that there was plenty on the trees, despite the cold weather.
“Are you hungry? Would you like some fruit?”

Els had noticed her coming in late, but chose not to act on it. Instead, he just paged her desk.

“Oh. Well anyway. Sometimes I train outside, sometimes it’s within the fortress. It depends on what they want me to do. But I think there’s a battle arena in here. I wonder if anyone’s using it.”
She starts wandering around, trying to find it, though it becomes pretty obvious she’s never been around the fortress much. In her wandering, she starts getting a little close to the sector for the dragon horde. Fortunately, their scent hasn’t reached her nose yet.
