Simon Otto, is one of my favorite artists and I love his work of How to Train Your Dragons 1 and 2. I can’t wait to see what he has for Dragons 3. I got to speak with him in an interview and I must admit, his accent is really cool and he has a lot of great advice and words to say

Reflection: Color Pencils; 12 1/2" x 19" 

This is reflection between two different cultures. In third-world countries, children are unable to receive clean water but instead must drink and use dirty water, while in Western culture, children are able to receive clean water with no thought behind it.

Geeky And Adorable Valentine’s Day Cards

Singapore-based boutique Punny Pixels urges everybody to tell to their loved one, one phrase this Valentine’s Day, “talk nerdy to me baby.” The pun-tastic designs are obvious from the first read, even the cleverly named shop pays homage to double-entendre, which consists of a mix of the word funny and pun. With a collection of paper goods, designed for the everyday nerd in you, the puns deliver inside jokes for gamers, graphic designers, business, science and math lovers.

In the collection, called Geeking Cards, you’ll find clever phrases which allude to typeface, which read, “I’ll be bold and say you’re just my type.” Another classic for anybody who has ever used a computer says: “You are the lorem to my ipsum.” In a wide range of colors, and romantic gestures, the digitally design Valentine’s Day cards offer an instant smile and response. I recently received in the Scholastic Art and Writing Award: Gold Key. I am very happy and thankful for my teacher for helping me in the process of creating this. 

I always have a keen interest in origami, especially the Japanese Crane. During classes, I would find a square piece of paper and the next thing I know, there would be an origami crane on my desk. It has become a hobby to make these winged birds and I decided to integrate these into a graphic design piece.

Jon Klassen is a famous illustrator that always presents his work at Gallery Nucleus, where I interned this summer. His work is quite stunning and he just released a new illustrated book called Pax.

Chinese New Year Food

The way that we celebrated Chinese New Year was quite ironic. Instead of going to a traditional Chinese restaurant, we decided to go to an American Eatery. It’s one way to break tradition. My grandmother’s reasoning was that their would be way to many people and that it would take a long time to get food.

That’s one way to celebrate. Happy Chinese New Year!
