“Then Jesus rolled up the scroll… and said, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.’” (Luke 4:20-21) Jesus treasured the Holy Scriptures and quoted from them, thus vouching for their authenticity and importance in our lives. He even answered satan with the Word of God when he came to tempt Him in the wilderness; and in His prayer before He left this earth, He said to the Father, “Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth. ” (John 17:17 ).This is especially important for us to remember in this day and age, when people think that truth is relative. People are running here and there, seeking truth. Truth is what the Bible says it is. Therefore, when a question comes up, we should not be seeking this or that opinion; rather, we should be asking, “What does the Bible say?” We need the truth of God’s Word in our lives every single day.
