a ponytail hair, and beard face. i admit that was creepy.. but .. that's it LadyBeard. now Japan apparently has its own version of Andrew W.K., and, because this is Japan, the “party-rocking dude who’s always fun to be around” aesthetic has gotten sort of… twisted on the way.
This is Ladybeard, an impressive jack of all trades entertainer with a cross-dressing habit and, it appears, a pretty impressive grasp of the Japanese language. Ladybeard has been gradually making a name for his/herself in Japan through his various talents. according to his website: he/she is a Pro-wrestler, heavy metal vocalist, party rocker and 24 hour photo opportunity.
Ladybeard 1st appeared in the rings of Hong Kong’s pro-wrestling scene in 2009. After gaining popularity as a wrestler, Ladybeard expanded his performance repertoire to include music, in 2010 performing his first heavy metal show, reworking classic Cantonese pop songs into hyper-aggressive comical heavy metal scream alongs.
so.. this is Ladybeard. SING, DANCE, DESTROY !!!

here’s some video of their live concerts. BIRDFLESH @ OEF 2009
It’s been six long years since I’ve enjoyed a new release from cult Swedish grindcore maniacs BIRDFLESH, but as of last week, my prayers have been answered in the form of a new split LP. Cirkus Kristus, a collaboration with Texas grind act P.L.F.,
sees Birdflesh adding ten new tracks plus an UNHOLY GRAVE cover to their repertoire, and indie label Haunted Hotel Records has offered two preview tracks from each band in the embedded player below. If you like what you hear, and why wouldn’t you, with a track title as brilliant as “Assfix,” head on over to the Haunted Hotel Records mailorder page to secure a copy of the limited pink wax. And be sure to catch the crazy Swedes at your local MARYLAND DEATHFEST this May.

it's been a long time i didn't hear about Domestik Doktrin, where did they go..
Domestik Doktrin is a few guys who were apparently tired of the hardcore music pattern at the time, and decided to create their own path in the scene.
"AS FAST AS THRASH MUST BE/AS FUNK AS CROSSOVER"
Early to mid 2000 was the peak of fastcore wave here in the South East Asia after Man Is The Bastard from the US coined the term “powerviolence” where most of the hardcore punk bands played super fast, messy and raw. The new wave of this high voltage hardcore punk gave a great impact to the continent. It also a golden age of the DIY hardcore punk movement in South East Asia and the best age of the internatiaonal punk network.
Domestik Doktrin, their first 7″ EP was released by 6x2x5 Records from San Fransisco (ran by WhatxHappenxNexts? drummer – Mr. Max Ward. Who also played in several bands like Spazz, Plutocracy and Scholastic Deth). amazing Thrashcore/Fastcore band from Bandung - Indonesia.
there are tons of other good bands coming from indonesia, malaysia or singapore after that.
WOLF x DOWN - Stray From The Path. who they are? where they come from? i would like to know more about Wolf Down. their stage performances, and their songs impressed me..
The very first edition of Singapore Rock Festival finally happened last month. It has been a tiring two-day event for fans of rock music. Black band shirts were the attire of the day as Fort Canning Park hosted the inaugural Singapore Rock Festival.
1st Day we've got Black Veil Brides, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie and Korn taking the stage. and Alter Bridge, and Alice In Chains on 2nd day.
Sure, Newsted may have pulled out of the lineup just a few weeks prior to the festival, and I honestly did not enjoy myself at Black Veil Brides and Five Finger Death Punch. But the rest of the lineup made this festival experience more than satisfactory, and despite the exhaustion and dehydration, Singapore Rock Festival was one hell of an experience. Kudos to LAMC Productions once again for such a memorable and awesome live music production.
I don't want to write much about this festival, just search on google if you want to know more about Singapore Rock Festival reviews
talk about the idol group, i think everyone knows about idol trend in japan, especially the phenomenon AKB48. i heard about AKB48 before, but somehow.. i'm not so keen with those AKB48. until one day the producer Yasushi Akimoto decided to bring the AKB48 concept to Indonesia, because the group had begun to develop a fan base in the country. create a branch, or well known as "Sister Group" named as JKT48.
JKT48 (read as "J. K. T. Forty-eight") is an Indonesian idol group whose name is derived from its base city of Jakarta and the Japanese idol group AKB48. it is the first sister group outside of Japan and adopts the concept of "idols you can meet". fans can attend daily performances at their own theater (JKT48 Theater). blablabla.. just search on google about em'.
I got interested when I hear their song "Ponytail To Shushu", and "Futari Nori No Jitensha (二人 乗り の 自転車) / (Bike of two-seater), and "RIVER".
and then.. i’m working with em’

He was initially one half of the duo known as Groove Chronicles but left in 1999 to pursue a solo career. He runs the Ghost Recordings label and is also part of the duo El-Tuff. He has been relatively inactive since 2004, but played a comeback set at The End in London in June 2006.

I went to Philippines a few months ago, after warmed my ass a few days in Manila I move towards Santa rosa. The city lies 38 miles south of Manila via the South Luzon Expressway. in laguna i heard about Piledriver.
Piledriver is One of Laguna's premier hardcore bands, hails from Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Doing and Playing their own brand of Hardcore since 1998 with roots tightly knit in the ever flourishing Laguna underground scene. Straight up sensibilities veering towards a Moshpit inciting sing alongs tunes, with breakdowns laced by a NYHC flavor.
unfortunately I lost all the stuff related to the band Piledriver. CDs, stickers, shirts, are all lost in flight luggage.
