Nobody Listens to Andrew

I'm Andrew Mitchell, I grew up with a love for movies and explored my passion by making short films with my family’s home video camera. I stuck with my passion and over the past 6 years I've directed several short films ranging from comedies to thrillers, and have a couple I'm working on currently. In 2005 I took a video production class at Tri-Tech Skills Center during my senior year in high school. I was very popular among my peers and the instructor. I won many awards over the course of the class including the prestigious “Most Employable Student Award” awarded at the end of the semester. On June 16, 2007, My passion shone through again in my short, “The Wardrobe Malfunction” which was one of the top 3 winners at the Columbia Basin Video Festival. In 2008 I worked as a freelance videographer for the Kennewick School District recording class lectures, which I was commended for my work and popular among the faculty who hired me. Meanwhile in 2008, I also produced, directed, and cast local talent for my thriller "Deception.” After the film was finished, an experienced publicist heard of the film and generously offered to help cast a press release and premiere the film free of charge. Deception opened at a local venue and was so successful that only 2 programs were left to hand out. Later on, Deception was granted a page on the Internet Movie Database IMDb.com. Presently, I am completing my Bachelors of Arts in Motion Pictures and Television at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.
