"The Weeping Angel" Sitting upon steps of grandeur, guarding from the evils of life The weeping angel lay forgotten, bound to the pavement like husband and wife. What no one tells you about the guardians are that they bear the brunt of pain From a world that lashes at the shoulders of the healers holding up a world so slain. Worn and torn and bruised beyond reason, the weeping angel clings to grace. Praying for world peace and compassion and love and other things beyond the human race. But yet at those steps, the angel doth sit. And there it sits, year after year. The weeping angel washes away our sins. Bathing in our sorrow, tear after tear.
