The Annoying Thing About How This Fandom Portrays Connor

Much as I like Connor as a character, this fandom infantilizes him so much. They often act like he's some "adorable" young boy who is naive or awkward, and a "surrogate son" for Hank with personality of a puppy. When in reality while Connor is conflicted, and is constantly under pressure that if his mission fails he will cease to exist, he is also capable of being ruthless, and depending on your actions can be a bigger antagonist than Perkins, but regardless he often displays clever strategies and deadly combat, he is good at being manipulative in order to accomplish what he wants to happen (Markus also has this trait), and he is very assertive, and he can outright MURDER Hank. Connor overall has the personality of a militant hunter, not a growing kid with a lot to learn. Also the various fanfics with him are almost always the same, with him still working at the DPD and living with Hank, neither make sense considering the circumstances, Connor never actually worked for the DPD, his "android detective" persona was just his cover, plus even if he was actually working for them at the time I doubt he would be to eager to trust humans again, having already been screwed over and lied to by them, and I doubt he would live with Hank, because for one, Hank's house very small and the dude is far from wealthy, it would be highly unconventional, at best he would likely just keep in touch with Hank on occasion, and he is more likely to become a resident at Jericho than live with Hank and go back to the DPD. This fandom does Connor's character a disservice.
