it kinda sucks to me a bit that stainedtissue (tisha x blot) shippers pretty much never acknowledge the fact that Tisha is ableist towards and bullies blot for something he can't control
forgot how white this website is and expected there to be more uproar about the US bombing my home country, nigeria, on christmas day. my mistake!
Sokoto state, a majority Muslim state in north-west Nigeria was bombed on Christmas day. It is still unclear how many bombs were dropped and where. Confirmed is a bomb dropped on a Mosque in Jabo, killing 5 people.
Trump has claimed that this is in retaliation of the "Christian genocide" happening in Nigeria, committed by "radical Islamists" of the ISIL (ISIS), and the specific choosing of Christmas day was to reify that this is a religious based retaliation.
This Christmas, I am in Nigeria. My family is majority Christian. We are without fear of being persecuted on the basis of our religion. So, what is going on?
There is no Christian genocide in Nigeria. Nigeria is a complex country that faces a lot of violence, exploitation and subsequent neglect from our government. But it is not Christians being targeted in our country. This insidious piece of misinformation has been dutifully organised by US officials for months and gained steam on platforms like X and Truth Social.
I do not believe though, that this action was done to fight Islamic terrorists or protect Nigerian Christians. The reason being:
Sokoto state is not a state with ISIL activity.
This is another display of US throwing its weight around, conveniently, onto the most oil-rich country in Africa.
Do not believe everything the US tells you about its foreign affairs. The US will gladly spill blood on the flimsiest of justifications just to continue gorging its empire.
Please keep love in your hearts for the Nigerian people.
For those unfamiliar with African geography:
First, I will remind you Africa is massive. This is the Authograph map, the most accurate-to-size and least-distorted map in the world:
Africa is bottom center. North America is that bitty thing near the top. (Turn your head to the side if you need to orient yourself via Florida or Brazil, because lack of distortion meant some stuff Does Not Look how you would expect.)
Now that you have a sense of how big it is, here's Africa.
Now here's the same map, but I circled the countries where ISIL has any kind of significant presence. Please note that "significant presence" in this case means "wow, they control a whole city," and also that the Middle East is too small for me to accurately circle individual states on a phone. As of 2025 there is no significant ISIL presence in Israel, Palestine, Jordan, or that bit of Saudi Arabia I tried four times to avoid and couldn't.
YOU'RE GONNA NOTICE ALL OF THESE ARE PRETTY FAR FROM NIGERIA.
There is an absolutely minuscule stronghold in eastern Nigeria, but if the intent was actually to remove ISIL as a player in the region, it would require a scalpel, not a hatchet, and a quick scan of the Nigeria Wikipedia page shows a history in which Nigeria is doing pretty damn well at driving out terrorist groups trying to get a foothold entirely on their own.
Wiki further tells me that Nigeria has a massive Christian population and that freedom of religion is enshrined in their constitution. Up until the 2023 elections, it was even unofficial-but-standard practice that if a Christian won the presidency, they'd select a Muslim vice-president, and vice versa. (In 2023 a Muslim president selected a Muslim veep. I don't know anything in particular about Nigerian politics, so I don't know why this was--it could be anything from Islamic colonialism to being besties as kids to the veep just being a guy who's really good at diplomatic relations.) The more I'm reading, the more obvious his bullshit claim becomes.
Call your reps, Americans. Those of us who are Millennials and older will remember when the excuse was al-Qaeda and WMDs. History doesn't repeat, but it sure does like to rhyme. And if you're thinking "but he's ignoring the law anyway, so does it even matter if we call?" YES. YES IT DOES. Enough attention can force lawsuits that give troops a nail to hang their hats on to say "can't do it, sorry, unlawful order."
Give it up for video game fictives/fictionkins who SUCK at the game they're from so bad it's not even funny!!!

"reblog if __, who wouldn't?"
"if you don't reblog this unfollow me"
"reblog for__ ignore for --"
"who wouldn't reblog this?"
"you have to reblog this"
"no __ will reblog this"
No. Shut up. These statements are not safe for those with moral ocd. Reblogging something or not does not change opinions and actions. It does not define a person. It does not represent beliefs. You can share your beliefs without harming others.
shoutout to everyone dealing with. thhe fucking difficulty
the fact that all of my mutuals immediately reblogged this from me really says something about all of us, doesn't it
I think this whole Palestine thing was a huge wake up call for so many people around the world. we no longer glorify fake celebrities who turned a blind eye to genocide, we're no longer consuming whatever the media provides, we're no longer obsessed with fascist bloodthirsty brands, we no longer believe the mainstream media, and we're no longer intimidated by police or threats of losing our jobs or degrees. we're no longer believing in the false narratives we've been fed about Palestinians and Arab people, we're no longer separable. I've seen Jewish people leading protests for Palestine, I've seen black people, Asians, native Americans, Arabs, and white Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs and atheists marching together as one, I've seen Muslims defending queers during the protests, I've seen nothing but love and support... yet some people out there trying to convince you that students protesting is some sort of terrorism sympathy and violent riots. I've seen people picking up history books and educating themselves, I've seen the youth reading about Palestine, I've seen people from all parts of the world, from different religions, ethnicities, and sexual orientation and gender identities, all sitting together in camps sharing food and songs, I've seen things that white supremacists spent too long trying to prevent and I'm very proud of every single one you. Let's keep it up

Shoutout to Superman (2025) for making it incredibly fucking clear that Superman is for good people. He’s hope. He’s love. He’s supportive. He’s an immigrant. He supports Palestine. He loves animals. He protects children.
The movie is a light. If you’ve been feeling really depressed about the world lately I’d highly suggest watching Superman.
