Serious Question
If the Vatican is its own country and we call people from other countries by their country (like African American) does that mean Catholics are Catholic Americans

Prayer for the feast of St Maximilian Kolbe. Feast day August 14.
In your close conformity to Our Divine Saviour, you reached such an intense degree of charity that you offered your life to save that of a fellow prisoner. Implore God that we, inflamed by such ardent charity, may, through our faith and good works, witness Christ’s love for the world and thus merit to join you in the blessed vision of God. Amen
St. Maximilian Kolbe
St. Maximilian Kolbe (1894 - 1941) was a priest from Poland who helped Jews hide from the Nazis during World War 2. He was caught and imprisoned in Auschwitz later. When another prisoner escaped from the camp, the guards selected ten others to be killed as a punishment. Father Kolbe was not selected but he asked to die in place of one of them who had a family. His act of love and sacrifice reflected that of Jesus Who died for us on the cross. St. Maximilian’s feast day is 14 August.
Prayers please. My friend isn't okay and I'm really worried.
Jesus could have called the whole thing off.
He could have stepped down off that cross.
I think I shed a tear.
I just cried
St. Clare of Assisi
St. Clare of Assisi (1194 - 1253) lived in the same town as St. Francis and had often heard him preach. Soon she imitated him and left everything to serve Jesus. She founded the ‘Poor Clares’, an order of nuns who lived simply, ate little and kept silent most of the time. Once, when invaders threatened to plunder their convent, St. Clare brought Jesus in the Eucharist to the convent walls and the invaders fled in fear! Her feast day is on 11 August.
You have no reason to be judged or mistreated for your beliefs, and therefore I refuse to judge you. And I hope that is a phrase you can repeat often to everyone you meet.

Mamma Mary!
do you think God ever gets sad like “what do you mean you don’t love yourself i worked so hard on you….”
…why is this so uplifting
I’m not even religious and this makes me smile.
The reason we do what we do is just as important as what we do...Neither goodwill not rules are enough by thrmselves.
