Family photos for Festa 2026
We've been treated to gorgeous family photos for the 13th anniversary, and i couldn't be happier with the relaxed vibe of these pics. Definitely going to print a couple for my wall (me and Jin both! haha)
Did anyone else notice that in 11 out of 13 photos Jimin and Jungkook are next to each other, or touching...?
Because of course they are
Happy Festa everyone!

Jimin flirting on stage by asking his boyfriend to strip 😂
His exact words the second time were “상의탈의해줘 벗어줘” which isn't just saying take it off, but "jungkook-ah, take it off for me" in an incredibly shamelessly flirty way. Jungkooks FACE after hearing that too lmfao he wasn't expecting to hear Jimin say that (on stage at least). I bet he did take it off FOR Jimin after the concert 😂🤣 his face is also giving me flashbacks to "I like that he is so shameless" while blushing furiously. Lol don't save him, he is exactly where he wants to be
This match made in heaven ....
Jimin is so in love you guys. Look at the way his entire body and his eyes especially just soften into absolute fondness love and yearning when he looks at Jungkook 😭
The mutual adoration, fondness, respect, support, desire.... are why these two are so beloved by us.
They're beautiful, yes, but they're more beautiful together because of love
🐿 “But at some point Jungkook stopped calling you ‘Rap Mon hyung’, didn’t he? He used to say ‘Rap Mon hyung’ all the time—”
🐥 “Jungkook?”
🐨 “After he came back from the military, he stopped saying it. He matured.”
🐨 “What does Jungkook call me now?”
🐿 “‘Namjoonie hyung.’”
🐨🐥 “That’s right.”
🐻 “He always calls me ‘Taehyungie hyung’, but on stage he calls me ‘V hyung’. It feels really awkward.”
🐨 “That’s actually really professional. Some people might not know your real name.”
🐥 “With me, he just goes, ‘Jimin.’”
🐥 “Me too, just ‘Jimin.’”
🐨 “But he calls you ‘Hobi hyung’, doesn’t he?”
🐿 “Yeah, he does call me ‘hyung.’”
🐥 “For me it’s just ‘Jimin’, simply—”
Well well well... how unusual
JIKOOK into the sun together
Jikook harmonising together when nobody else is even singing...
This moment is a living breathing metaphor and the reason we see their relationship for what it is.
From Bangtan TV
Lets talk about Jimin's insta photo 11.3.26
In BTS and in the broader world of entertainment, fashion, culture, and aesthetics Jimin keeps showing up in new and different ways. After 13 years in the public eye he's still able to surprise us and that's quite a feat.
But more important than his visual inventiveness and risk taking, is how he creates space for himself and proclaims his truth, loudly when necessary.
His appearance at the Fashion Week Dior show (and at the airport on his way to Paris) spoke volumes about how he reacts to external attempts to control him.
First the open shirt exposing his chest and shoulders - noteworthy (scandalous even) because he was not on stage performing but rather walking through a crowded airport in broad daylight. Then the bare torso under that perfectly tailored suit with enough jewellery to lift the price of gold. He dominated socials and news sites for days as he knew he would.
Park Jimin said jump, and the world did exactly as he expected.
Another recent example: that moment in the recent GQ video 'It's Really Us' when Jimin took over the conversation about JK and V doing a dance challenge. No subtlety, and no fucks to give.
First he turned the situation around, dismissing the original question and suggesting himself and Hobi should do the dance challenge. Once that was established he coolly declared that JK and V would do one, as though it is Park Jimin who decides these things and nobody else.
He really put that request to bed in the most unbothered but assertive way while reiterating - for everyone watching - that there's absolutely no drama between himself, Tae and JK.
Jimin is giving us a masterclass in taking control of the narrative.
Post military service Jimin definitely has a quiet authority that I haven't seen before. This has been on my mind lately, and I know I'm not alone.
I'm not saying he never took the lead or stood his ground, he definitely did. But what we are seeing now is articulation, assurance, and a fundamental self belief.
What both of those previous examples demonstrate is that Jimin isn't letting anyone or anything push him in a direction he doesn't want to go.
Maybe it's age and maturity, or maybe it's blowing shit up with a 47 ton armoured cannon that has given him a new perspective. Either way, coupled with his characteristically unwavering determination, I think Park Jimin is going to do whatever the fuck he wants from now on.
This photo, for example.
At first glance this photograph doesn't seem like something that could start a revolution but the more you look, the more you see. Where Jimin was loud and shameless before, he is now subtle but resolute.
This is a story told through multiple layers, drawing you inwards like a Fibonacci spiral* and once you reach the centre the message is so clear you can't unsee it.
Look at the way he's structured the composition:
There are two distinct parts to this photograph:
What's happening inside the frame of the wing mirror and what's happening outside the frame of the wing mirror.
Outside the frame is a bland, uninspiring landscape with no visible point of interest. It's essentially negative space, the only purpose it serves is to provide a backdrop for what we see reflected in that wing mirror:
This is where it gets interesting.
Inside the wing mirror frame, he's fragmented the image even more using the heavy black lines of the car door panels, the back passenger window, and the frame of his open window.
His composition cuts the real estate of the photograph down dramatically, creating an intimate little portal through which we can engage with the subject of the photograph.
At this point you'd be forgiven for assuming that Jimin himself is that subject. Alas he is not, and nor is he the focal point.
So what is the (focal) point?
It's the phone, of course.
The phone is closest to the viewer and in the dead centre of the image. It's also in the sharpest focus.
As an aside (if you know this already go ahead and skip past) usually to create an image with artistic interest and provide a rewarding experience for the viewer, you cut your composition into thirds and place the subject off centre so that the viewer's eye must travel from its landing point - the centre of the image - and discover the subject. The act of discovery rewards the viewer with visual or conceptual stimulation, and as a bonus you get a little hit of dopamine because you won!
But Jimin isn't aiming for artistic interest or discovery. He's aiming for obvious (bit still somehow subtle).
Looking at the photo, our eye automatically lands in the centre of the image and... congratulations, you found it! No discovery needed.
But even when our attention is drawn to Jimin, because of course we are going to look at him, his eyes lead us back to the phone.
He's not engaging with us at all in this photo. Nor is he looking demure with eyes downcast. Nor is he looking mysteriously out of the frame at something we can't see.
He's looking at the phone. And so should we be. That's what he wants.
But wait, there's more ...
He's framed himself and the phone in this intimate space and we have access to this little window into Jimin's world... but we aren't invited inside.
He allows us to look.
He allows us to see what he's showing us. And what he's showing us is the phone. His hand brings the phone into the foreground. He holds it right up to that hard boundary that we aren't allowed to cross. The phone rests on the window's edge while Jimin himself he stays passively inside the car and in the background.
And of course (as he reminds us with the caption) he's wearing glasses. More framing, plus their round shape mirrors the lenses of the phone camera.
And if you look carefully, its the camera lenses specifically that are the subject. The lenses are dead centre of the image and in the highest focus.
Because it's the camera lenses that are most important.
As we all know, its the camera lenses that identify this as an iPhone.
And not just any iPhone.
The white case tells us this is Jungkook's iPhone.
And that is the entire point of this photograph.
eta... They stayed quiet before, but I don't think they will any longer. I think regardless of, or sometimes as a response to the rumours, criticisms, and assumptions made about both of these men, they will speak more freely and live as they please.
I can't wait to see what happens next.
💜💛
If you're doubtful, just remember that Jimin is primarily a dancer. He knows how to hide, how to reveal, how to invite your gaze and how to avoid it. He knows how to draw the eye, how to redirect attention, and how to create a visual message. Everything he shows us is a choice. He's been controlling what we see and how we see it for over a decade.
This is child's play for him.
*He knows the Fibonacci concept well. Besides being a math genius and an aesthetic expert, he used it in the choreo for Set Me Free.

JJK- the cowboy's horse
I guess this is straight from the horse's mouth.
Can he be any clearer? I don't think its possible.
Yes, that is a rust coloured hanky, worn in his right pocket.
I wonder who the cowboy is.... 😉
eta: here's an explanation...
The hanky code is literally the oldest and most well known language in the gay community. Depending on the colour of the bandana and which pocket it's in, it tells every other gay person your preferences, cutting out lots of time wasting (and also the potential danger of approaching someone who isn't interested and likely to punch you in the face if you proposition them).
Here's a page from wikipedia to give you more info...
Two sides of the coin and they both ain't true
Remember the post I made about Jimin's lines in Normal when he sings about neither red nor blue being 'true'?
https://www.tumblr.com/andy-wm/812330851470802944/jimins-verse-in-normal?source=share
Heavy is the head when you chasin' true
Will you color me red? Will you color me blue?
Two sides of a coin, and they both ain't true
Is it different for me? Is it different for you?
Only Jimin is in white.
This detail seems purposeful.
The members are barely visible, and certainly can't be seen by the crowd as a whole. Why would this point of difference be made for Jimin when the audience is unlikely to ever see it?
This isn't even part of their performance, but merely a way to get them back on stage unseen.
So why?
We cant know, not really. But there seems no point to it unless it's meaningful to him.
Absolutely projecting here, but I know how I would feel if something like this was offered or suggested to me, and I had the opportunity to speak myself -to speak my truth - in broad daylight without actually revealing anything that I wanted to keep private.

Jikook: Cupid and Psych
Arirang Tour in Tokyo D1, gave us this gem:
It's not just matching outfits, the image on Jimin’s top and Jungkook's jacket is L'Amour et Psyché, enfants.
It's a depiction of baby Eros/Cupid and Pyche. Their story, from classical Greece, is one of forbidden love, the overcoming of obstacles, and a sacred union.
There are many paintings of this story but this depiction is from a painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau in 1890
So.... any questions?

If anyone needs me I'll be gazing into the middle distance smiling at nothing.
He's all grown up...
I love it when they inadvertently reveal themselves....
In the recent Rolling Stone interview Brian Hiatt asks the members about the first time they heard Jungkook's explicit version of Seven. He asks if, considering JK is the youngest, they were shocked or amused or if they gave him shit on text.
This isnt the point but as an aside, maybe I'm too critical but I thought that question was a feeble attempt to prompt a salacious or embarrassed response. BTS are not 18 year old college boys. I can't help wondering if a 29 year old western artist would be asked the same patronising question.
I didn't like the question but there was one thing I did enjoy:
Park Jimin's reaction.
Far more interesting than the question itself, or Jungkook's mature and level-headed response, was the way Jimin reacted, informing Brian (with a touch of attitude) that Jungkook is an adult.
"Hes all grown up"
It might seem unremarkable but look at Jimin's delivery. If he had said it with a laugh or a smile, it would be reasonable to think he was playing along. He wasn't.
Despite the fact that Brian was grinning like this was the most entertaining topic he could imagine, Jimin replied quietly in a flat tone, and made direct eye contact without the slightest smile. And the way he withdrew the eye contact towards the end with a touch of disdain... wow.
He made zero attempt to disguise his aggravation at the infantalising of Jungkook.
Listen to his tone:
No, he was not playing along.
How did Brian not shrivel up under the weight of that unamused eye contact? The man must be made of steel. But I digress...
Something else I noticed was the speed of Jimin's reaction.
Brian had barely finished talking when Jimin clapped back.
It's like he wasn't just annoyed on Jungkook's behalf, he was personally offended by the question.
But why?
Why would it would rattle Park Jimin to this extent? What might be implied by the question?
Perhaps Brian was asking if the members would be amused or shocked because Jungkook, as the youngest, should be too timid or well mannered to use curse words in a song?
But why would jimin take that so personally? Anyway we know that's not true.
So if it's not about the word itself, perhaps it's about the associated action?
Perhaps, as Jungkook is the youngest, Brian thought they would be amused or shocked that he's singing explicitly about sex?
Teasing him for singing about sex would be wierd since the man is 29 years old, hardly a child. And so many songs are about sex? And why would Jimin be personally offended by that?
So maybe it's more specific? Did Brian think they might be shocked and amused by the brazen claims of fucking 7 days a week and doing it right, night after night? Is the implication that as the youngest, Jungkook is the least likely to have the sexual experience (or prowess) to back up those claims?
Might Jimin be offended at the suggestion that JK isn't the sex god he'd need to be to deliver on those promises? Now I think we're getting somewhere...
One more question your honour:
Why would Jimin even care if Jungkooks virility, performance, or dedication in bed was questioned?
Why indeed...
He has a vested interest, your honour.
Change those lyrics to night after night, month after month, year after year...
But wait, there's more.
Is it odd that nobody else felt the need to announce to the room that Jungkook is a grown up man?
Only Jimin? And everyone else chuckled at that? Ok. Yup.
Wait, not everyone chuckled.
Did you notice Jungkook's response?
Yup, sex god. That's me.
Well played gentlemen. Nobody would ever guess.
