Ok so... I have now put an embarrassing amount of hours into Splatoon Raiders, and I've got to say making builds is so fun, I have one where I just zoom around using the two mobility bombs and the zipline. I love the gameplay loop and the boss Salmonids are so fun to fight, almost 100% an I'm absolutely doing another playthrough once I've finished this gem of a game, 9/10... mainly because of the story... I've already explained why (..)

K so I'm gonna put this out there into the world (BIG BIG SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT)

Yes, Splatoon Raiders is Deep Cut going into Salmonid territory and stealing their relics, BUT, the spiralite island Salmonids were nurturing a world destroying god so my sympathy is heavily limited. The golden egg housing the Salmonarch (the afformentioned god) drives salmonids mad, and throughout the game as you get deeper into the islands their eyes start turning into spirals, a common short hand for hypnosis. They also get covered in more and more spirahlite. Even then this clan of Salmonids did attack and plunge Splattsville into deep debt without provocation so again, sympathy limited. I would also like to say I DO FEEL BAD FOR THEM. But I feel like we're overlooking a few things. But yeah the comments msde about the Salmonids are kinda... wtf
