Syrax, the Golden Lady

Sooo... since season 3 will release soon, I decided to launch myself in redesigning ALL of the Targaryen dragons based on butterflies and moths... (what am I doing...)

And of course we are starting with Syrax, my fav dragon (I dunno, I just love her and she deserve all the love)

Her design was based on the Monarch butterfly (cause... you know... Rhaenyra...) and the clipper butterfly:

The Lady of the Shooting Stars

May I present to you: the space goddess herself. I wanted to make her fell as other worldy as possible, while still looking human, and she really does fell like this here.

I just saw the mario galaxy movie, and my god how much I love Rosalina. I never played the game but already knew she was cool, but this is no princess, this is an absolute QUEEN !

And since I headcanaon her as aroace (and autistic), I felt like today was the right time to try a lil redesign inspired bi minoan fashion.

Anyway, she is way to handsome and I will be obsesing over her for the next weeks, probably.

War

This is my own iterpretation of War, the horseman from @faberown story IHIFTHMBAL, wich I heavily recommend. (Request from @voluntarilylunargauntlet )

Design wise, I was heavily influenced by @nn-ee-zz design, with the whole reflection around the glorification of war medias tend to do, where there is no glory in this atrocity. Therefor, while the horse is being pulled forward, the horseman have no control, even on itself, as it is merely the pupet of unseen forces, condamned to never be the master of it’s own actions.

Also, lil fun fact, the horse’s position is a direct reference to the portrait of Napoleon crossing the St Bernard.

Lil flower study with soft pastels on black paper.

I got a beginer kit of soft pastels recently and really wanted to try it out, and I think it’s fairly good for a first drawing, it’s a really fun medium to use. Also drawing on black paper is SO fun, I love it!

Contemporary Vanity

This was a piece I did in class last year, we had to realise a contemprary vanity while using chiaroscuro on with a great format. I’m pretty happy with it, tbh

Happy birthday, Verso(s) Dessendres...

Here, each third of the piece represent one Verso: the central and inferior are quite obvious, being painted and og Verso. For the third, I used the eclipse we see each time we're in the "in-between" to represent Verso's soul shard.

Seriously, this has been sitting in my WIPs for far to long... but I'm SO proud of it !

Yes!! The final one! Really, to give yourself a challenge like this is really good to get out of art block, at least for me.

I’m really sorry for the late update, espacially on the very last piece of the challenge, but I was really low on motivations…

Anyway, I thought it was fitting to end this with Verso, the one who started it all, in a way…
