Dig idk if you remember hongjoong from ateez but in the skz au thing I mentioned he actually brings up the music festival battle thing to chan and han at some point which gets them interested in it
Like basically either there's some kind of bag mix up happening or hongjoong accidentally leaves his bag on the bus / taxi and chan + han end up helping him get it back. And han sees some lyrics and notes in hongjoong's bag and he's like Heyy.. do you write songs or something.. and hongjoong is like Oh Uh Yeah I'm actually a producer and chan is like Woahh no way me too. And hongjoong had been headed to like meet up with somebody on his team or something and he mentions that they're going to try to play during the festival thing and he leaves cuz he's running late
And chan is like han how come u were so interested in the songwriting stuff and han is kind of embarrassed but he explains how he went to school for music and chan is like Ohh cool! Hey wait ykw. We should totally try making a song together or something. And han is like what ! And chan is like duh I saw how your eyes lit up when hongjoong talking about the festival. And they decide to try out for a spot to play or something. But since it's for a prize they think that maybe they should have some kind of dance performance or smth going on aside from them just singing. But who do they know that dances ?? (Han: I know a guy....)
