something something about how warren got his face cut open
introducing: the dream, the dreamer, the calling and the butcher
maybe some context: ever since he's been around, warren has had the scars on his face. in the beginning it was a form of punishment, showing a certain power dynamic. the act itself wasnt as important then, just the aftermath. living with what he had done and what was done to him. recently it shifted more into the ritualistic. by being killed this way he is bound to the dream indefinitely (borrowing bloodborne terminology and concepts here but it helps). its something he is actively seeking out while not completely conscious of what it involves because the signs that lead him there arent rooted in reality but neither is the dream itself. to this end, there is no relationship necessary between him and the butcher. maybe his character is even merciful. big maybe. either way the scars are now a sign of transformation, perhaps even rebirth. not guilt

progress didnt look as tasty as with the lichens but heres my try at dyeing with coffee grounds.
soaked the wool in vinegar solution for abt 1 hour before dyeing and the color came out looking quite nice :)
