He’s all like “I hate these moronic children so much I wish they would all go away” but then one (1) student even HINTS at being in danger and he’s all over it. “Is he bothering you queen” final boss but he’s doing it for entire school of children who live in a highly dangerous castle. He can appear places just as fast as filch and he will use this power to save all the idiots he teaches from imminent death. He cares about his students so much and he makes it so obvious

By the amount of tomarry/harrymort fics I've been consuming lately, I must say that JK Rowling missed the opportunity to name Harry as Jerry. Anyone searching up tom and jerry would then be bombarded with cats and mouses as well as noseless immortal wizards simping over the boy whose parents they've killed

A concept: Tom's sociopathy manifested differently, and he has lots of trouble to recognize emotions. He also still lacks empathy.

So. He finishes chewing out a poor student. The student runs off crying. Tom thinks he's very... Hungry, maybe? Who cares.

Albus is very disappointed in him. Tom can't tell.

A girl is flirting with him. Tom doesn't understand and he's just annoyed.

On one hand, he would be more isolated and less popular. Not very good at manipulating people.

On the other hand, the potential is priceless. Especially in Tomarry context. Harry reads emotions for Tom. This must be the Power he knows not.

I think it’s great that severitus is the best thing that could ever happen to Snape

For severitus to happen , he has to confront his feelings about Harry and James and the fact that he’s been wrong about Harry this whole time. He should know better than anyone else that one isn’t necessarily just like their father, but he was wrong, and Harry’s been hurt for it.

And for Snape to treat Harry and help him with his trauma to do with the Dursleys , Snape becomes a more patient person, less quick to snap, more emotionally stable overall. He’ll not become too relaxed, he still has some of his guard up, but he learns that for Harry to feel able to be vulnerable to him, he has to do some of the same in return, and that will be okay

Last but not least … he can let go of some of the hurt he’s held onto about Lily. He can tell Harry about her, how she lived, instead of the wallowing as he has been for so long in the fact that she’s dead.

And ofc it’s a great thing for Harry too since he gets a parent out of it :}
