âWe.. well⊠you try finding anything in this town, I just picked what looked best!â he said over Rinoaâs laughter, obviously trying to hide his embarrassment. (It is not like I could have known! She could cut me some slackâŠ) He drew his breath into an almost silent sigh, definitely quieter than Rinoaâs uproarious giggle. (I guess it is kinda silly huh? I do adore her giggleâŠ) âHeh, guess we can make the best of it. We donât have much choice anywaysâŠâ
âYou can take the bed⊠unless⊠you wanted to lay next to me?â He was still embarrassed, they had not been together for long after all, everything happened so quickly after they defeated Ultimecia and he became the leader of the Garden. (I am so bad with this relationship stuff, well I am sure to keep her laughing at least.)
The brown-eyed girl had stifled her giggle then, looking directly at him warmly. It was typically chivalrous of him to offer her the bed, though it was doubtful sheâd even fit in it, being made for such a tiny creature. He was always looking out for her best interests, no matter what the situation, like the thoughtful, considerate person that he was. And even though she was still a bit shy, Rinoa wasnât about to squander the time they had together. âNo, Squall, Iâd rather lay down here,â she said, matter of factly, sitting herself down on the floor, pulling her blue duster out from beneath her, and glancing upwards, patting the floor with her hand to motion him to sit down as well. Sighing tiredly, she let out, âItâs been a long day, hasnât it? Letâs relax for a while.â Smiling as genuinely as she could muster at him, with her eyes full of expression, she hoped that the mercenary clad in black would join her. âAnd I forgot to say it,â she began, wanting him closer, âbut thank you, for keeping me company. I was... scared... here, until I found you.â
