Important!
This is a friendly reminder that if you'd still like to interact with Angel he has been moved over to my other blog! helluvaflames! Feel free to follow me there!
IMPORTANT
So I asked this over on my Helluva blog and I'm considering moving Angel over there as I am also considering bringing in more Hazbin characters. So I think I may be doing that. Feel free to follow me on my helluvaflames blog too jus so I can kind of keep them together and I'd rather it be easier for me to keep up with things. I can also move my threads from here over there to make it easier.
I'm going to have to get things going here again. Cause I'm definitely back interested into writing Angel things.
I promise I am still here. I've been away this weekend at a convention! I met like five of the cast members for Hazbin Hotel and they're all so freaking sweet. I talked to all of them and got a photo with the whole cast too. And then a couple individual. Obviously Blake was one of those. He was so freaking sweet you all.
I am still here just have been a little unmotivated lately to get back into writing and I apologize for that.
"Brilliant!" Pentious responded with a clap of his clawed hands. It would be a true shame to do all of this work and not get to enjoy it afterwards. They and the rest of the residents would have the loveliest dinner tonight.
As Angel had the current task under control, Pentious prepared for the next by grabbing two additional bowls. Angel cake had three differently coloured layers, which would each have to be prepared separately of course. The upper layer would remain pale, almost white. The middle one was soft pink and the bottom layer...
Hmm.
Pentious hesitated as he roamed through bottles and powders of food colouring. The bottom layer was supposed to be orange, but...
The serpent turned back to regard the spider. "Why don't we make one of the layers black, to match your bowtie? Then it would really be 'Angel Dust' cake," he suggested, finding the idea rather amusing.
After doing all this he's come to realize that he doesn't really mind cooking all that much. Just as long as he had someone to share that with like Sir Pentious. This was kind of nice to be honest.
When it was all done on his part he glanced over at the other when he said to match the color as his bowtie. He couldn't help but chuckle. "Ya're really testin' it right now Pentious." Angel teases the other.
But he obliges. Allowing the other to let him make it the color of his bowtie. To think he really wanted to kill this guy at one point. Now? Now he wanted to make sure nothing bad happened to him.
"Wouldn't the color basically match both of ours?" Angel asked as he nudges the other playfully.
There was some credit being given to Angel for reverting to a shortened version of Alastor's name, rather than the nickname that he was not overly fond of. The shortened name too was irritating, but less so. Step by step. He'd not fuss about it just then.
"I'm a simple man."
He was not.
"Whiskey neat is fine."
There were times that he switched up what sort of nicknames that he used for Alastor. He knew that when he used 'Smiles' it somewhat annoyed Alastor so tonight he didn't want to do that. All he wanted to do was see where the night took them.
"Ya' don' seem tha' way ta' me."
He couldn't help but chuckle. After getting their drinks he glanced over to the dance floor.
"So ya' goin' ta' let me invite ya' out on the floor eventually?"
"I'll help you, just keep ssstirring and I'll add the ingredients," Pentious directed. "It's important that you keep a steady hand and make sure the batter ends up even all the way through."
He cracked the not-minion eggs one by one, adding them to the batter as Angel worked. After discarding their shells, the snake started sifting in the flour and a dap of baking powder. The end of his tail searched for vanilla extract from a drawer and then pushed it towards the spider.
"Here, add a teaspoon of this, Angel. And do tell me, do you have the evening off to enjoy our culinary treats? No night shift to scatter off to?"
"Okay, I can do that." Angel said as he nods. He's certain to do just that too. He continues to stir and makes sure to keep his hand as steady as possible. Which wasn't that hard to do.
Angel watches the ingredients fall into the bowl as he continues to do his assigned job. As the other handed him the vanilla extract he poured that in too while he stirred it a bit.
"Got it! I'm free all evenin' so I can stay here and spend some with ya instead. I think I like that idea better anyway."
Ah, yes. The nebulous concept of a 'club' as one of the modern-aged Sinners might consider it. Alastor was appraising in his stare of the environment once they'd entered, eyes roving over details here and there with no love offered in his gaze at the musical selections. Though he would not be so quick as to turn heel and leave. He'd told Angel that he would, at the very least, give the place an opportunity to impress.
And even then, he presumed that Angel was less concerned about the venue impressing than he was with himself impressing. So there was that to consider.
Always overthinking, Alastor silently told himself. Let's turn off the presumptions for two seconds, shall we?
"I will need a hefty dose of liquor to even begin to process this," he said to Angel after a moment.
Angel grins after the other said that he needed some alcohol. That was perfect considering he too needed some. Plus, the main reason to come here was for the alcohol anyway. So he takes a hold of Alastor's hand with one of his and pulls him toward the bar that they had here. If anything this club was known for their alcohol, so that was at least something.
When they get to the bar he lets go of Alastor's hand and walks up to the bartender. Asking him for the liquor there.
"What da' ya' want Al?" Angel asked. For coming all this way here with him, he figured he could buy the other a drink at least.
"I think you are confusing the term casual for formal, but I'll not badger you relentlessly about it." It was just as well. He doubted he would have fit into any environment that was not accepting of Alastor's more-than-casual wardrobe.
"I'll trust you to lead the way."
Gentleman or not in the best of circumstances, the radio demon still kept the other at a relative arm's length. Did not need to give Angel the idea that cozying up to him was acceptable. Not when he was still, more or less, sober as an infant and skeptical about Angel Dust's motives for wanting to accompany him to a night out at all.
Dubious, at best.
"I could have dressed way fancier than this Al. So ya're lucky I went for this option." Angel said. There was a lot more ways that he could have dressed, but he did tone it down some for Alastor.
"All right. Come on then."
Angel began to lead the way to the club that he was talking about. It was nothing like what the he had taken everyone before. Angel knew better than to try and trick Alastor like that. It only took a little bit before they arrived. It was just a simple club. A dance floor, bar, music playing from the dj.
The growl was most likely going to continue until he was out of the tub. He was glad that Angel was at least finding it amusing. He wasn't finding it amusing but he knew that would happen. It was a lot to handle wet fur. He hated how much it weighed and that was one reason he couldn't wait for this to be over.
Husk was curious to see if this new shampoo was going to be any different any the one he regularly used. He also trusted Angel to know more about that sort of thing than him. If his boyfriend believed it was good then he'll go along with it. The offer to help with his wings made the cat perk his head up a little. "Mhm it can be," he said as he looked at one of them. "The biggest pain is getting the feathers closer to my back." It was hard to reach back there. Debating with himself a little longer, Husk finally shrugged as he said, "If you wanna help after this then fine. But you also don't need to if you don't want to."
It wasn't going to be much longer before the two of them could get out. He had already been washed and so there was only a little bit left for Husk too. He leans over and kisses the other on the cheek, even if it was wet too. It didn't bother Angel in the slightest.
The spider hopes that this shampoo would help Husk. If it doesn't then he'd not use it ever again that was certain. He doesn't want it to cause anything to happen to the other especially if it was his doing. He'd feel so bad. Angel smiles, he had a feeling that the other has difficulty with his feathers too. But now he was here to help him out with that. "I don't mind helping ya' out baby. So don't worry, I can help get the area's tha' are hard for ya'. " Angel said. Plus, it would probably help him be quicker with the cleaning too.
Angel's pleasant reaction earned him a grin and a heat pat from the snake. "Hoho, yet another grandiose successs!" Pentious hissed, discarding the spoon and ordering a vacant minion to begin tending to the cinnamon cookie batter.
He slithered next to Angel to turn his attention to the spider's bowl instead, its cake batter yet unfinished. "Good job, dear. Next up three eggs and the flour-..." he said, grabbing the needed ingredients.
"Would you like me to take it from here, or do you want to keep at it? You're not half bad in the kitchen, it seems!"
Angel glanced over at the snake, receiving the head pat was something that he doesn't normally get often. So, he couldn't help but lean into the touch a little. Angel couldn't help but chuckle a little. "As it should be, I guess I have more of knack for this than I thought."
The spider can't help but smile as he looks over the snake. "Okay, got it." Angel said. He glances at the ingredients that were grabbed and he had a feeling that he could do this. At least with Sir Pentious' help.
"Am I still stirring or am I puttin' the eggs and flour in with it?" Angel asked wanting to make sure he was doing this right.
Alastor would be flattered if he knew. Angel's secret would remain one for now. Had pinned an ear back at that strangely intimate whisper, however, waving Angel away. Go, go, before he changed his mind.
But now he waited for the other Sinner's return; he may or may not have been doing a bit of pre-outing drinking; smelled faintly of whiskey, though he would not acknowledge it when he did hear Angel approaching once again.
"Do tell me you've drummed up something nicer than your usual to wear?"
Alastor had no room to judge, but he would judge nonetheless.
He glanced down at Alastor as he chuckled slightly. Of course he dressed up, this club they were going too all the people were dressed up since it was more casual. Even if they were in hell some people still liked to look nice.
But he also wanted to look nice for Alastor too, even if he wasn't going to admit that too the other. Although he had a feeling that Alastor probably already knew that he was partially dressing up too look good too.
"Of course, I had too. We're going to a more casual club. So looking nice is appreciated."
Fine, fine. He did have enough of an affinity for dancing - of a sort - to chase the curiosity of what Angel was like at it. So he'd simply give a wave of dismissal as he drifted away to take care of his afternoon tasks before returning, a few minutes prior to seven, his suit as well pressed as ever. Very little difference from his usual attire.
One would have to wrangle him into a new outfit if they wanted to see him in it. Took a lot of convincing.
He'd await Angel's arrival, wondering if the other saw fit to change up his outfit. Probably. He was a performer, after all.
To be honest he might have been lowkey freaking out about hanging out with Alastor later. But he had a feeling everything would go well at least that was what he hoped for anyway. On the other hand he was looking forward too it as well. This would be the first time they've ever done anything together outside of the hotel.
He smiles at the other and nods. "Good, then it's settled." Angel said as he walks closer to the other.
"I'll see you tonight then." Angel states as he whispered that into Alastor's ear, before turning to leave.
Shall hopefully be back here tomorrow to do some replies. If not tomorrow the weekend for sure.
❛❛ eh, not really into the whole pranking thing, you know? could've come back for the whisky day ❜❜ a shrug, despite knowing that's not what the other meant.
"Eh, not really talking about prankin' bein' the best part about today, actually."
