I hope they are the prettiest teens ever I want them to hate each other's guts and I want them to deeply relate to the other while being immensely jealous. And then Kris is just caught in the crossfire. Also I like to think this is how a Susie/Berdly/Lancer friendship arc could be sparked.

Imma drop this here because I found it fun to find these :) Little details I noticed:

On Kris's only visible armor pad (their shoulder piece), there is a red heart. (<- Ties into the SOUL. Correct me if I'm wrong it's only seen from one angle sdjflk)

Lancer's tongue being over the second panel.

Noelle has two 4-point stars on her design. The one in the middle of her chest looks similarly to the SAVE POINT design (with colors), and the other one probably looks to tie more into her ice powers. (Looks at the last panel and sees it gone. <- probably wasn't added due to comic being "rushed" but i think it is like a physical "representation" of when she uses her ice magic :>)

Ralsei got a crown. I've noticed that. Really ties into the game's "prince of the dark" theme with this design :) it also looks like a little tiara (<- "transfem ralsei" presentation i bet :D)

dunno if its just cuz it looks cool or if it ties into actual physiology with some blue bird species, but I like how Berdly has this yellow color on his face. Looks like different colored feathers to me 🤔 (maybe ties into the fact that there are some weird but cool stuff that goes on with birds and their feather colors...? idk i don't know too much about how feathers do their thing)

Kris got a little crack in their teeth :0. some little hint of past shenanigans leaking through there Kris-cross applesauce~ ;)

Also, as far as I can tell, Lancer just looks like his normal in-game design. Which is fair- not to call a Lance "a Lancer", but that's just Lancer! uh that's all the details i noticed rn. not sure if you posted these official redesign-takes of Kris, Ralsei, Susie, Noelle, and Berdly here or anywhere else in reference form (if you did, tell me. i'd love to see the detail and design choices too !!), but i do like them a lot! also, elf dark world Kris and long, sunset-colored Susie hair = fucking fire. so yummy. chef keep cooking! I need more!!!

YEYEYEYYYEY THE STAR ON NOELLE'S HEAD IS TIED TO HER POWERS WHILE THE OTHER ONE IS MORE TIED TO KRIS AS. AWHOLE BECAUSE I WANTED HER TO HAVE SYMBOLS THAT CONNECTED HER TO KRIS, THAT'S WHY IT KINDA LOOKS LIKE THE SAVE POINT

Ralsei's crownnnnnn, Ralsei's crown that she can't ever take off because she can't escape from her fate as the princeeeeeee (and yes it looks like a little tiara because she would like that)

Okay, so you probably have noticed how I like giving cool hair color gradients to Kris and Susie just for the love of the game, and I wanted to do something similar with Berdly since the last couple times I've drawn his LW form I drew him with brown accents, so I wanted to do something similar but with more vibrant colours because DW. As for why yellow — friend of mine said something about a species of blue birds having yellow feathers or something like that. Noelle doesn't have a hair gradient yet because I like keeping her design more simple and because this would not be her dream form.

Kris tooth gap is my passion and my personal headcanon.

AND YES SUNSET HAIR SUSIE AND ELF-LIKE KRIS ARE MY BABIES AND MY EVERYTHING NAISJZJANEJSIAJNESN THIS IS A WORLD OF FUNTASY (woah just misspelled fantasy but honestly? this is also a world of funtasy haha) SO I GET TO DO WHATEVER I LIKE WITH THE DESIGNS NWIZJANWNSJAJS

Also I don't really have a reference sheet, tho now that u mention it I should definitely make one with all my little HEADCANON and stuff!
