   kai hummed softly to himself as if he needed to think about it , ‘ i  mean  ,  maybe.  but  i  think  i  could  come  up  with  less  lethal  options  if  i  wanted  that.  killing  you  wouldn’t  have  helped  me. ‘ he offered a grin before nodding his head, ‘ while  i  think  that’s  slightly  dramatic ,  you  can  rest  assured  that  i  would  cover  your  medical  bills  but  considering  you’re  still standing ,  i  think  you’ll  be  okay.  hopefully. ‘

Angel smirked, she was sure she was okay but she enjoyed applying pressure to the man in front of her. Her and Kai weren’t particularly close considering she hardly interacted with him outside the bar, so this was a good opportunity to maybe get to know him a little better. He seemed nice, despite the fact he threw a ball at her head. “Damn- imagine death by ball in the head, that is not how I wanna be taken out- what will the papers say?” Angel pretended to get all doe eyed but quickly let out a light chuckle. She heeled Truffles to come closer to her. “Well why don’t you walk with me a bit and we can make sure I don’t have any dizzy spells, Tom Brady,” she grinned.

Angel loved being a nurse, don’t get wrong, she just was tired most of the time because of her schedule. 5 on 4 off, granted the schedule worked in the way that when she was starting to completely hater her life and her job- she was off for four days and she had time recoup. After spending her first day off tucked away because she was coming off a night- she figured day 2 was all about bugging her favourite person- Dakota. The two had an interesting relationship, will they fuck? Or will they just hangout? Stay tuned. She left Truffles with her roommate, lucky to have someone who loved dogs and actually liked spending time with her doggo while she was away. It beat putting the pup in a kennel.

Angel made her way over to Dakota’s place a bottle of wine in hand and ready to chill out with her gal pal. She knocked at the door and smiled when she saw the girl. “Hey grorgeous,” she grinned making her way inside like she owned the place. “Tell me you have food- this one is starving.” Angel pointed to herself. People nicknamed her Garfield because of her love lasagna and her couch potato attitude.

    he seemed to grimace again. he was hoping just by sheer luck that maybe the ball wouldn’t actually hit anyone but that wasn’t the case at all.  ‘ i  said  sorry  , ‘ kai spoke as if that made it all better. ‘  at  least  i  didn’t  purposely  aim  it  at  your  head.  that  has  to  mean  something  , right? ‘ he was hoping it did but he had a feeling it probably didn’t. ‘ no ,  seriously ,  are  you  okay? ‘ all jokes aside , he wasn’t looking to take angel out with a flying football. kai looked her over once before bending down to grab the ball.

Although she was a bit annoyed, she rather it hit her rather than Truffles- plus the boy did apologize instantly. She did instinctively touch her head though, as if doing an assessment on herself making sure there wasn’t a bump or anything. When she noticed that she was okay, she focused back on the man in front of her, she gave a light shrug at his second apology. “You mean this was not a special way for you to get my attention?” she teased. “I’m okay, for real- if I start seeing floaters though, you will be paying for my medical bills.”

being a bartender generally meant that kai had free time during the day and he definitely wasn’t going to complain about that. that afternoon , he was in the park with a couple of friends , opting to catch up while throwing a football around. he almost grimaced at his over throw , watching as the ball sailed through the air and almost hit someone dead on. ‘ sorry  , ‘ he called out before jogging over to retrieve the ball. ‘ sorry. ‘

Angel had decided it was a good time as any to take a walk with Truffles, in her old town she everything felt so close and there weren’t like a million people around, so living in New York was always a culture shock for her. She was watching Truffles do his business and before she even knew it a ball sailed over and knocked her in her head. “Uhm- ow!” Angel yelped. She turned her head in the direction that she assumed the ball had come from and shook her head at Kai. “Come on dude- I know you are more accustomed to night vision but we daylight people have better edict, do better.”
