this is probably the longest I've spent on a drawing before as far as days between start and finish because for some reason I decided to draw 61 fish and also I worked six days in a row in the middle of it and chances are I'm not finishing today and I work another six days before my next day off

#I think previous record was like. three days start to finish #not counting things like dress up games or short comics #I'm so so so close to the fun part (cool lighting effects) but I have to draw fins on SIXTY ONE fish first #and colour in sixty one fish #and also do shading #fuck I just remembered I gotta draw grass too bleeeehhhh and it's a heat wave and I'm soooo sleepy from so much work #maybe I can find a way to shortcut the grass. idk how I'm even going to approach the grass #I keep getting scheduled 6-8 day stretches in a row bc all my coworkers are on holiday #but I miss drawing I miss the feeling of having finished a drawing I gotta draw #even if I only get like 12 notes half the time. I gotta do it

#my desserts #I was so worried I made these too late into the season for grad #like I had 15 minutes left so just threw some gold shit on some cupcakes and put hats on them #and then I was like wait when is grad?? oh like four days ago #but then they were sold out next time I went into work so it was fine #technically even though the grad ceremony was four days before I made these the last day of school was the day after I made them #???? why is there still more school after the grad ceremony? was it like that when I was in school? I feel like maybe it was? idk

#my desserts #this is uuuuh that dog and rabbit #sam and max? their office #they had a cutout of the characters to put on top #SURE WOULD MAKE MY LIFE A WHOLE LOT FUCKING EASIER IF WE WERE ALLOWED TO PRINT COPYRIGHT IMAGES ON CAKES #instead of me doing this sort of thing and telling the customer to add their own toppers

#my desserts #they wanted a sampling of different flavour things and they were gonna order multiple 'something for everyone' cakes #and I was like noooo no no don't order that bc 1) they are all the same cake inside with slightly different outsides #like three of the four types of cakes you get are chocolate cake with custard fill and fudge base icing #and 2) those are a fucking pain in the ass to make #so I suggested doing cupcakes like this instead #FLAVOUR LIST:#carrot with cream cheese and caramel #red velvet with cream cheese #chocolate fudge #chocolate caramel #black forest #vanilla strawberry #vanilla lemon #vanilla apple cinnamon with cream cheese #the apple cinnamon cream cheese combo was actually super yummy I might do something with that around thanksgiving

#my desserts #the whole time I was like whyyyyyy do you want pink writing on this #apparently this customer didn't really know what they wanted and settled on black cake with red roses after a lot of back and fourth #and then called back the next day to also add pink writing #like it'd look soooo much better with red writing aaaa or pink roses but NOW THEY DON'T MATCH #but they're similar enough that it looks like a mistake rather than an intentional choice aaaaa #oh well it looks fine even if it Could Be Better if I was around to talk them out of it lmao
