i feel like Pete was a businessman in real world who accidentally comes across a novel as named pit babe and feels sorry for his favorite tragic character Way. Then he accidentally reincarnates into the novel and tries to save Way. He tried so hard. But villains are destined to die and writer is so cruel so Way dies at end. Now what happens is another reset of novel from beginning and Pete has to save Way this time, before Charlie came bcz after Charlie entry novel plays heavily by writer's writing and characters can't really control their actions.

It just occurred to me that they changed so much about Way's story. They gave us so much longing, so many lingering looks between him and Pete that didn't exist in the novel. So much backstory. So many extra scenes. They changed Pete from a barely-there plot device into Way and Kenta's beacon of hope. We had Pete and Kenta kissing and Pete and Way holding hands.

And then they took it all away by killing Way off and having Kenta vanish from his spot next to Tony's body in between camera takes.

Sure, Pete wanted them to choose and choose they did. But it's so cruel and... unfinished in a way.

And all we're left with is a sorrowful and silent close-up of Pete before he too leaves the story.

I'm sad you guys.

you know what, I changed my mind. After a rewatch and reading so many metas and getting over initial weirdness, I find myself really invested in pit babe. It's fantastic watch, and has well written good emotions and bonding between characters, especially in last few episodes. So I'm recommending you this, do watch pit babe.

uhm... Maybe I got too emotional when I sent you this ask and it was before last episode aired so it's kinda... Overall it's still a good watch but don't expect much. Well if you have to resubscribe, you can also check out first episode on YouTube and see if it's worth it and the show is to your taste. Another major thing, I totally missed to tell you is its alphaverse, some people are alphas with superpowers while some are just normal alphas. And more you'll get to know with the show progresses.

the implicit love triangle between babe, way and pete is so so heartbreaking because nobody really got a happy ending there

babe loved way despite the betrayal maybe more deeply than he himself realised, way loved babe mindlessly to obsession and morality loss, pete loved way hopefully and selflessly but to no fruition.

I can't sleep bcuz I keep thinking abt this comment I saw somewhere about how they hope Pete and Kenta ends up together.. While I do get the appeal esp after the flashback scenes, the history and the chemistry.. I don't want Kenta to be anybody's second option anymore after all these years/DECADES of mistreatment(UNDERSTATEMENT) from Tony. He deserves to be someone's no.1 priority and choice..

I don't want anyone to settle for him just bcuz they couldn't get their loved one almost like a compensation... Idek if this makes sense but just no.

Pete esp from the last 2 eps was very much into Way at least from what I saw/interpreted( and is seen reminiscing their shared interactions n getting emotional during the last ep)... So in the future Pete & Kenta can be friends or "brothers" as Pete said to Way but please not romantic partners/boyfriends...

Another reason why I am Team KimKenta/KentaKim apart from the fact that they're probably my favorite characters.. But it's okay even if it's not Kim.

In short I just want someone who's devoted to Kenta and loves him for who he is and in the process heals him ...Someone who doesn't give up on him or betrays him....He deserves to be someone's family and home..he deserves to feel NEEDED..VALUED..

He deserves to be LOVED and CHERISHED. And to be PRIORITISED. KENTA DESERVES TO BE HAPPY.

Also I do hope he reconnects and stay close with his bros(Babe,Charlie,Jeff,etc) and slowly integrated with the X-Hunter Team bcuz they would make great friends.
