Angie Everyday: Goodbye
November 14th, 2012 was the beginning of Angie Everyday—a project I started in earnest. It was a project I began as a way to communicate; to reach out from my studio to others. The blog represents a privacy and intimacy of my process, as I change and as my art changes. In many ways it became a public diary. It was a forum for me to share my art, my studio, my life and the music that inspires me. The project became bigger than I intended. I became an image of myself in that I was able to learn and play with the idea of self, the artist self.
This November 14th, 2015 would be the three year anniversary. As the date has approached I have questioned continuing, I never imagined working on this project for this many years. It has become truly ingrained within my life. But in a whim without being concise which suits the project, I have decided to end Angie Everyday now. It would be more harmonious to wait till November 14th but I recently went on a trip and on this trip I began to desire endings with new beginnings and new ways of representing myself. Now a little early I come to say goodbye and to say thank you to everyone who contributed to this project and watched me. I have truly valued the dialogue that has helped form who I am today; I made friends and I gained new perspectives. I am very proud and pleased with this project which documents an epoch of growth in my life.
I am unsure if I will begin a new blog anytime soon but to stay in touch please, feel free to email me or to check out my website:
