Angie Yonaga redrawn as Hina, Goddess of the Moon, original painting by Herb Kāne (my piece for @angiezine!)
Really wanted to lean into Hawaiian folklore and art for this one, and I'm so enamored with the result, I can't believe I'd yet to even post it here!!!
I quite enjoyed the concept of Hina who grew tired of her earthly existence, and all who frustrated, used, or disobeyed her. Thus leading her to take a trip to the moon (after hating her warm trip to the sun) and staying there to happily create her art for the rest of time, guiding the waves of the ocean below her cloudy night sky; Angie behavior, I like to think.
