I am! I know I’ve been really bad about answering asks lately, there’s been a lot going on.
But Tsumugi! I love her she’s great, her main schtick in the remnant au is she’s basically filling Chisa’s role as the mole within the Future Foundation.
She uses her cosplay skills to sneak around to still be able to see the other remnants without blowing her cover. Tsumugi is a bit of an odd duck, since she doesn’t have much of a visible personality change since she has to be so under the radar. It sets her apart from a lot of the others, so she’s not super close to the rest of the group.
Some more than others of course, I think she interacts with Shuichi and Kaede the most. She passes along all the Future Foundation’s plans to Shuichi so he can make sure the remnants are one step ahead. It’s likely harder for her to sneak around after the thh survivors join, since then she’d have Kyoko to contend with, but Tsumugi’s up for the challenge!
I’m also intending to have her eventually be the one to add the virus to the Neo World Program, so her avatar would still be the mastermind. It’s more like the Chiaki ai tho so it’s technically not Tsumugi in the program properly, but close enough.
The Neo world program stuff is interesting because Tsumugi would have been involved with the initial planning and knew about it when Makoto was coming up with the idea, but she wasn’t expecting the Future Foundation to ever actually be able to catch everyone, so it didn’t seem like anything of concern. That is until Korekiyo pseudo defected and suddenly the Future Foundation had all the information it needed.
And Tsumugi couldn’t do anything to stop him without giving herself away, so she had to figure out a back up plan. That’s where infecting the program with the virus came in, presumably with Rantaro's help (cause Kamakura).
I say Korekiyo only pseudo defected because he didn’t really turn against despair as a concept, like he doesn’t actually think the plan will work, it’s more just he’s upset at the other remnants and this seems like a good way to upset them. But that’s why he doesn’t turn Tsumugi in either, it’s more of a long con to piss her off.
And I think that’s most of what’s up with Tsumugi! At least as of now, I haven’t gotten to her chapter yet so I’m sure when I do the ideas will get more fleshed out!
