Diddy now makes the umpteenth high profile rape case where a BDSM and "rough play" defense has successfully evaded serious charges related to domestic abuse and rape. No amount of video evidence of women getting smacked around, being verbally abused and roughly gang banged by male prostitutes was enough to convince a jury they didn't "consent" to "rough play and kink" with Diddy. Even though the women said they were coerced and had the threat of violence and other forms of torment hanging over them as they performed these acts. BDSM is now an active weapon of rapists. Any attempts to mainstream acceptance of BDSM culture is literally, by objective definition, rape culture and rape supporting.
Interview of a mason in Bangalore, India, working for the all-women architecture firm, Mason's Ink.
I think a big factor behind the bullshit fake-ass concepts like “crocodile tears” and “weaponizing femininity” and “pearl-clutching” is porn-brain. It presents women crying and suffering and begging for safety as a “performance”, as amusing, as arousing, as something for a male to dismiss with a sneer and sexually exploit.
It should NOT be normal to see someone crying and respond with anything other than concern and compassion. Absolutely disgusting to derange that natural response into a learned exuberance at women’s suffering.
I can‘t stand the notion that women have to be “the bigger person” and be morally flawless everytime it comes to men/women discussions.
Women aren’t allowed to be angry and fight back without being labeled as the “worse” of the two and getting told that this “justifies” their oppression, but men are allowed to be utterly misogynistic and evil because “they‘ve also been groomed by the system, they‘re victims!!!”.
Like, no. They see us suffering and they know that suffering is bad, and a victim fighting back can‘t be “as bad as” or “worse” than being a f*cking perpetrator.
Men do everything to drive women “crazy” and then it‘s suddenly our fault.
F#!ck that.
Can we stop pretending that porn doesn't hurt women.

I’m about to save you thousands of dollars in therapy by teaching you what I learned paying thousands of dollars for therapy:
It may sound woo woo but it’s an important skill capitalism and hyper individualism have robbed us of as human beings.
Learn to process your emotions. It will improve your mental health and quality of life. Emotions serve a biological purpose, they aren’t just things that happen for no reason.
1. Pause and notice you’re having a big feeling or reaching for a distraction to maybe avoid a feeling. Notice what triggered the feeling or need for a distraction without judgement. Just note that it’s there. Don’t label it as good or bad.
2. Find it in your body. Where do you feel it? Your chest? Your head? Your stomach? Does it feel like a weight everywhere? Does it feel like you’re vibrating? Does it feel like you’re numb all over?
3. Name the feeling. Look up an emotion chart if you need to. Find the feeling that resonates the most with what you’re feeling. Is it disappointment? Heartbreak? Anxiety? Anger? Humiliation?
4. Validate the feeling. Sometimes feelings misfire or are disproportionately big, but they’re still valid. You don’t have to justify what you’re feeling, it’s just valid. Tell yourself “yeah it makes sense that you feel that right now.” Or something as simple as “I hear you.” For example: If I get really big feelings of humiliation when I lose at a game of chess, the feeling may not be necessary, but it is valid and makes sense if I grew up with parents who berated me every time I did something wrong. So I could say “Yeah I understand why we are feeling that way given how we were treated growing up. That’s valid.”
5. Do something with your body that’s not a mental distraction from the feeling. Something where you can still think. Go on a walk. Do something with your hands like art or crochet or baking. Journal. Clean a room. Figure out what works best for you.
6. Repeat, it takes practice but is a skill you can learn :)
I have been in EMDR therapy recently to help with past trauma and like 90% of the appointments are just this post. Which I thought was silly at first bcs I was like "well I know how I'm feeling, I feel bad" but man you have no idea. Literally JUST talking through whatever stressful thing I have going on at the moment and whenever I feel a Big Emotion stopping and acknowledging, naming, and sitting with it makes a huge difference. I've made more progress with my trauma and mental illnesses just doing this in a single year than I have in like 10+ years of therapy.
It might feel silly or pointless at first but stick with it, it really helps.
Wanting to be thin, obsessing over weight and not getting enough food is one of the most important feminist issue of our age to tackle.
How can we be successful if we don't have enough energy? How can we think properly without enough fuel? How can we be active without enough strength? How can we fight without enough fitness? Enough muscle?
It's honestly terrifying how there are so many ways that males have crippled women effectively. Through years of indoctrination, women have been conditioned to mould themselves to be attractive to men.
Even though now many women don't have to be married to men, many women still have these artifical handcuffs in their brain.
The argument males gleefully make is that we men don't have standards, it's you dumb women forcing beauty standards on each other and they ignore the historic precedent and years of brainwashing.
Weigh trainings and gaining substantial muscle mass is one of the best things we can do for our health, but women are kept from doing it.
We have every reason to believe that even modern athletes are weak compared to a woman without the restrictions of femininity.
One of the worst things you can do for muscle growth is take birth control! Look at how many women do that!!

Sometimes I wonder why I keep at this, I want to make the world a better place, but what are my efforts even worth if no one sees me. I feel so invisible, another unaccounted statistic.
"Why do you hate men?"
Once you start noticing the passive voice being used for men's actions, you can't unsee it. In history class it was always "women weren't seen as equal human beings" or "women weren't able to own property or have jobs or get education" rather than men legally considered women their property and banned them from work, school, and property rights.
In the news it's always "girl raped in park" or "woman killed in home" which would make some sense if the perpetrator was unknown, but they often have already caught the culprit by the time the article comes out and it's always a man.
The amount of times I've seen a headline about a man murdering his entire family before killing himself being titled "man commits suicide after family is killed" with a nice little family photo of them is absolutely absurd.
Hell, just last night I saw an article titled, "3 kids killed after mom let ex-partner take them to get food." Her male ex took the kids to get food and murdered them before killing himself. Not only is the headline passive, but it also phrases it in a way that makes the mother somehow look guilty like she knew what he had planned or knew he was insane.
To top it off, people get really uncomfortable if you stop using the passive voice for this stuff. They start squirming if you straight up say "men wrote laws banning women from voting" even when that is literally what happened. BOTH men and women act this way. It's like we're all just supposed to pretend that rape, enslavement, murder, and other human rights violations against women just fell from the sky.
Abortion bans and domestic violence: Homicide is a leading cause of death for pregnant people.
Pregnancy is a dangerous time for those experiencing domestic violence.
Are there any numbers that show how the Dobbs decision has impacted any of these things, either the homicide rate for pregnant women or reproductive coercion?
The National Domestic Violence Hotline said that there was a 98 percent increase in reports of reproductive coercion the year after Dobbs, compared to the year before—more than 2,400 callers, the year after, reporting experiencing some form of reproductive coercion, compared to about 1,200 callers the year before that decision.
Were people referencing the law?
Some of the callers were saying that their abusers were referencing the abortion ban in their state. And this is also, broadly, a tactic that experts expect to increase. Basically, when the state hands down these abortion restrictions, it can wind up enabling abusers because it suggests that the state has no interest in giving them access to abortion and supporting their reproductive autonomy. So, it’s something that an abuser can also restrict. And it does sound like, from the anecdotes that I heard, sometimes this is what people are reporting.
