Authors Note: itâs semi-unrequited love! And the end mentions the reader ending up with another character. Also MHA spoilers!!! Enjoy <3

It wasnât long before you fell for the hot-headed blonde. A handsome face plastered on a nasty, egotistical attitude. Fights would always be about superficial shit. It was playful in your eyes but he would make it his mission to insult you whenever the opportunity arose. Thankfully, you never took them to heart because Bakugo insulted literally everyone at UA. You almost hated yourself for falling for him. He never showed you kindness so why would you even be attracted to him? Your fluttering heart hid behind a slick insult to his face.
Bakugo wasnât one for romance sadly. All he cared about was becoming the #1 hero and beating Midorya at anything he would do. He usually skipped group hang outs and activities to go train or isolate himself in his room. You knew he preferred being in your presence more than the others since you werenât as loud. Yet hated it because you always matched his energy.
You spilled your secret to Kirishima a few days after realizing your feelings for Bakugo. You hoped he would offer some advice to get over him but Kirishima urged you to confess your feelings. Laughing, you told him that was ridiculous and confessing would only make the intense friendship weird. Youâd have better luck confessing to anyone else.
That night you paced restlessly in your dorm. Going over the reasons that made confessing a terrible idea. You knew you had no chance and you couldnât even imagine him saying anything to reciprocate your feelings. You sighed looking towards the time on your phone. You had class tomorrow and needed to get to sleep. So you got comfy in bed and vowed that he would never know how much you truly loved him.
°ââ.àłàż*:
The toughest battle had to be fighting Shigaraki. The snake-like figure of hands was an eerie sight. But nothing beats the horrific scene of seeing the unrequited love of your life lying dead in front of you. A hole punched right through his chest. You dropped to your knees and with trembling hands, tried to find a pulse despite knowing you wonât feel a thing. You let Best Jeanist care for him but you had to continue fighting⊠for him, for the guy that sacrificed himself for his classmates.
Nothing could ever explain the amount of gratitude Bakugo (and yourself) had for Edgeshot. He was truly worthy and earned the Pro-Hero title. You pondered a lot during Bakugoâs recovery. Happy thoughts, guilty thoughts and mostly sad thoughts. You thought a lot about your possible confession. Telling him now could possibly internally kill him, itâs way too early to be bothering him with such inconveniences. So you stayed silent. You tended to him as much as a friend would but never overstepped your boundaries.
Bakugo remained the same egotistical asshole but was much less angry. Edgeshotâs sacrifice put out many angry fires in his soul. He was grateful to be alive. The sacrifice pushed Bakugo to continue training and become the best Pro-Hero. He didnât want to admit he had become a little soft. Towards you specifically. He appreciated you not overbearing him with questions nor treating him differently. You still insult him when he does it first but most of the time you guys sit in silence and appreciate the moment. You really were a good friend. The best, actually.
You had spent the entirety of UA fond of a guy that would never see you more than a friend. But Pro-Hero life was truly what broke you out of your seemingly unrequited love. The many battles you faced took up most of your schedule and any extra time was spent devoted to helping your agency. Most of your free time was with family or caring to your own needs. You grew to appreciate the local spa down by your agency. Constant appointments every Friday.
It was nice knowing that most of the class would stay together long after graduation. If you didnât see them during a friendly event, youâd see them out in the city battling villains and exercising the skills they were taught in UA. But there was one particular event that everyone in class 1-A would be attending. Your wedding.
Everything was just perfect, the decoration, your attire, the scenery. It was the talk of the country. This was your public wedding, one for the media. You and your husband had a much more private wedding a month prior. Just for family and super close friends. The spotlight was thrilling and addictive but privacy was an honor for intimate moments.
The bells chimed and the light music began. You walked down the aisle with your father, arm in arm. Glancing at the guests in appreciation for coming, then you looked at your (no longer) future husband. A warm, beautiful smile painted on your face as you reached closer to his person.
All the guests' hearts melted seeing the amount of love you radiated towards your husband. Sadly, seeing your smile only made Bakugoâs heart ache. It was absolutely selfish of him to imagine himself in the groomâs position but he couldnât help it. He badly wanted to confess his love to you before you had even had the chance to be at the aisle. The angel on Bakugoâs shoulder reminded him that you were happy with this person and he should leave the foolish daydreaming behind. The devil on his other shoulder interrupted and stated that heâs Katsuki Bakugo, the amazing Pro-Hero that doesnât have time for romance.
The devil also whispered that you were marrying his childhood âfriendâ and competitor, Izuku Midorya. Deku had one-upped him in the worst way possible. Now Bakugo watches as the love of his life marries his competition. Though, Midorya wasn't any competition at all since he decided to become a teacher at UA after graduating.
The wedding officiant asked, âbefore I proceed, should anyone present here have any reason why these two should not be married? If so, speak now or forever hold your peace.â
He will never tell you how much he enjoyed your moments in silence, the meals youâd cook together for the group, the smirks on your face when your comeback was better than his, and the way your eyes would light up when talking about your passions. Wishfulling thinking that someday, youâd have that same look in your eye when you talk about him. Youâll never know how much he loved you. And with that being said, Bakugo will forever hold his peace.
authorâs note: been a while but I finally got some ideas in the works! The reader is a titan shifter but it doesnât matter to the story much. Enjoy the story :>

Sometimes you wondered if staying on the Devilâs Island was a wiser choice than going back to Marley. Maybe Paradiâs punishment wouldâve been more merciful than what Marley Inflicted on you. After Annieâs identity was discovered, you couldnât risk them capturing you too. So you ran. Rode as far as your poor horse could take you. In a matter of days, you arrived in Marley. The nation that hated your kind. You threw yourself at the mercy of Marley. Sadly, they had none for those with Eldian blood.
They demanded results and information that you didnât have. They didnât kill you but threatened to have your titan power stripped from you. With that being said, they struck you and beat you over the simplest of things. This left you in a bloody mess most of the time. No one would come to your aid, all the soldiers believed you deserved it. Only your friends and warrior candidates had empathy for you. Marley would put you on the front line of battles and wars. It was both necessary for a win and a form of punishment.
You confided in Porco and Pieck a lot. Never revealing your true feelings or experiences on the island to Porco though. He would rat you out if he even caught a whiff of you being empathic towards anyone from Paradi. Pieck held more love in her heart. Especially for you. She understood your feelings and why you may feel bad but remind you that it was their form of manipulating you into sympathizing with them. You knew this was untrue but nodded along regardless.
Marleyan-Eldian citizens were forbidden from leaving the restricted area. This didnât stop Porco from finding a way to the other side. He offered for you to come along once he was absolutely sure that it was safe to sneak out. You happily agreed, it would help take your mind off the battles and recurring stress. Once everything was in order and everyone was asleep, you and Porco left the building. You visualized the shops and performances youâd see on this secret adventure.
It was thrilling to break the rules and see different sights from what you had been bound to. You didnât want to go back home. Porco and yourself had a great time. It was wonderful to forget your duties, past and concerns. You shopped and danced the night away.
Porco made sure to not sneak out with you so often as to not make it a habit. Regardless of if he went with you or not, you snuck out. It was fulfilling to escape to a different side of your home where you werenât known or hated.
°ââ.àłàż*:
Theo Magath mustâve been feeling generous and kind on this particular day because he had given you and the other warriors a day off.
An idea popped in your mind, we should sneak out today. You ran to find Porco, who was usually chilling in his room. You knock on the door and wait for a response. You let yourself in after hearing a muffled âcome inâ from Porco.
âPorco!â You whispered as you silently shut the down behind you.
âHmm?â He responded.
âWanna sneak out today? Most of the guards will be off duty and I want to see the town in daylight.â You explain, quickly crouching down beside the bed.
âEh⊠I donât know. Itâs riskyâ Porco expressed.
âCome on! We wonât get caught, trust me.â You gently shake his shoulder in a weird way to convince him to come along. He stayed quiet for a moment then exhaled an exasperated sigh.
âUgh, fine. If we get caught, best believe Iâm telling them it was your idea.â He rolled his eyes while lazily getting up from his bed.
You gave him a quick hug and sped off to your room to get ready. You let your friends know that you and Porco were going to see family and that youâll probably wonât be back until nighttime. Since it wasnât uncommon for you to visit your family, everyone took this at face value. Plus, your family rarely left home so this lie was impossible to be exposed.
The pair had left the building in a superficial hurry. And in almost an instant, you were on the other side of the wall. You flashed Porco a huge smile. He returned a half, uneasy one. He was a wreck. Constantly paranoid that someone will find out.
âPorco, the more you overthink it, itâs going to show on your face and people are gonna think weâre sketchy. Please, calm down.â
Porco scoffed and lightly pushed your shoulder with his own before walking in front of you. You giggle softly while following close behind, looking at all the delicious treats the stands had to offer. For some odd reason, you seemed to be craving ice cream.
The weather was perfect. The sun was warm and the wind was refreshing. Once you catch a glimpse of the ice cream stand, you take Porcoâs hand and bypass the crowd. As you got closer, you realized that there was a line and let out a disappointed sigh. Defeatedly taking your place in the back of the short line, you scanned this side of Marley. It was busier and had more stands than it does during the night.
Some people from the crowd began to stare in the same direction, you took notice and tried looking to see what the big deal was. To no avail, you turn back to the ice cream stand. The line is gone and before you can take a step, a woman rushed in front of you and exclaimed to the ice cream man that sheâll take one.
Growing irritated at this woman, you crossed your arms, let out a huff and turned to complain. Only to realize that Porco was at another stand. You look back at the woman and two men had joined beside her. All three wearing the same attire, they must be from the same area. Something itched at you that they seemed familiar. You just couldnât pinpoint it.
The trio began to cause loud commotion over the ice cream. Surprised that it was⊠cold? Itâs literally ice cream. After everyone got their ice cream, they got out of your way. It was finally your turn to purchase the cold dessert. Out of curiosity you glanced over at the group. They praised the cold treat and encouraged the rest of their group to buy one as well. One had asked where to purchase it from, the taller man began to point towards your direction while saying something unintelligible.
The kind seller broke your gaze by asking,
âExcuse me? Would you like the usual today?â He became an acquaintance as you constantly bought from him on your secret nights out.
âIâm sorry- yes! The usual pleaseâŠâ You gave him a sweet small smile and watched as he scooped the ice cream into the brown cone.
Your brain ached at you to glance at the group again. You took a peek from the corner of your eye only to see a familiar face. A face you had forgotten because it was too painful to remember.
The face belonged to Jean Kirstein.
Your breath hitched, face flushed, heart pounded. It couldnât be him. Thereâs no way they couldâve made it to Marley of all places. Before Jean could even register that it was you that he was looking at, you quickly paid for the treat and began to speed walk in the opposite direction. Your mind raced with thoughts, scenarios, choices and regrets. There was so much you wanted to say to Jean back then and much more you wanted to tell him now. Suddenly, a voice broke your train of spiraling thoughts.
âHey! Excuse me-â Jean calls out.
You froze⊠he caught you. After what felt like forever, you made the choice to face him. You slowly look over your shoulder, eyes filled with horror. The world seemed to have stood still. Your eyes jumped all over the place. Taking in the new, old and matured features on his face. It was almost breathtaking how handsome he had become. The short beard and grown out hair suited him perfectly.
Jean noticed the new things about you too, your build was much muscular but skinner. The thing that jumped out to him the most was your eyes. They became duller and eye bags have been paired under them. He knows of Marley, what they have done to countries and their Eldian blooded citizens. Jean believed that youâve been through worse than what you experienced on Paradi. Even still, your eyes and person were beautiful and angelic in his eyes.
You had only been standing there for roughly a minute but felt lost in his features for hours. The beaming sun had melted some of the ice cream. It was now dripping down your fingers. Not that you cared away. You were mortified to see the Jean Kirstein right before your eyes.
âHey! What are you looking at?â Porco called out.
Your head snaps back to face Porco, who was now in front of you. You remained silent for a moment, thinking of an excuse. The nervousness was painted all over your face. Porco knew something was up.
âSorry, I was looking at,â you paused to turn back to Jean for a split moment, âsomeone who looked like an old friend.â
Porco looked past you to see who this âold friendâ was. He got a good look at Jean before clenching his jaw and whispering, âhuh? Youâve never lived out here, let alone known anyone. Come on, let's go, youâre drawing attention to yourself.â
Porco took hold of your spare hand and dragged you behind him. With a shaky exhale, you looked back to Jean to Porco then back to Jean. Your mouth felt agape, like you wanted to desperately say something- anything. Jean saw and felt the melancholy in your eyes. Neither wanted this to be the last time you encounter each other. But sadly, life had different plans.
Will I ever see you again? The pair thought as the distance between each other expanded.
Authorâs Note: the reader speaks Spanish and lyrics from my favorite song (Paloma Ajena) is used too!

It was anxiety inducing moving into the cabins. Not wanting to be alone, you needed to make at least one friend and a friend group at most. Sadly, your bunk buddy was never interested in conversion, with anyone. You didnât want to bother her but on the first night, you wanted to shoot your chance. You asked for her name and received a bitter reply.
Annie Leonhart.
You told her it was a pretty name and asked why she joined cadet training but was met with a sudden retort. She asked why you cared and why you were talking to her. You felt your ears go warm out of embarrassment. You stuttered, quickly explaining that you were just trying to make a friend and you were sorry to bother her.
Since then you only said the usual greetings to Annie to remain friendly. After a couple weeks you wanted to try again since you gained some confidence as you made other recent acquaintances. And this time, Annie gave you a real reply. It wasnât that genuine or detailed but it was a great improvement from day one.
After that, Annie usually gave vague replies but actively listened when you were talking. She mentioned not being from anywhere nearby but never specifically said where from. That was until you expressed interest in her clothing attire. Youâve never seen a piece of clothing like the white closed sweater with a hood she would wear daily. Before Annie gave a clear reply of what the sweater thing was, she lowered her voice and instructed you that you arenât to tell anyone what she was about to say. You nodded excitedly, crossed your heart and leaned in closer for her to answer. She whispered that it was called a hoodie and she got it from outside the wall. In a shushed voice, you asked if she was from outside the wall to which she nodded. Your eyes widened in shock but gestured your hands zipping your lips. Informing her that her secret is safe with you.
Annie found your first language fascinating, never directly praising it but asked you to translate phrases out of curiosity. Knowing her interest, you decided to give her a nickname. A name only you would know the meaning of and only you could use for her.
Palomita.
You told her it meant â(little) doveâ and explained that it was perfect for her because she was as pale and beautiful as a dove. When Annie heard the translation and meaning, she thought it was the corniest thing ever. Deep down, she loved the name. It always brought an invisible smile to her cold expression.
Annie usually sat alone during meal times, youâd join her at the start of the meal but never stay as sheâd tell you that she preferred being alone. Youâd tell her to come over if she ever needed company. Annie found this incredibly annoying at first but grew to appreciate it. An annoyed expression always painted on her face regardless of how she felt on the inside.
It then became routine that you sat with your closest friends: Sasha, Marco, Connie and Jean. Sasha technically recruited you into the group when she found out you spoke a completely different language from everyone else. Speaking a different language in a space as small as your town and the walls was captivating. It made you somewhat popular.
You were closest to Marco Bolt though. Both being insanely smart but different regions. Marco wanted to go off into the Military Police while you wanted to join the Survey Corps. Marco was more book smart and you were more combat smart.
Within a couple of months, you had also become friends with some of the people that dropped out of cadet training to farm crops. You listened to their stories and reasons for dropping out of training, which you understood. On the rare free days of training, your farmer friends would teach you how to make baskets and bracelets out of the dry straws from their wheats. Once you got the hang of it, you ended up making a bracelet for yourself and Annie.
For what seemed to be the first time, Annie actually smiled and thanked you. The smile was subtle but you knew it was there. You have studied her cold face since you first met and can detect any change. When you saw her smile, you realized something else.
You had feelings for her.
You knew that Annie wasnât one for romantic relationships in the slightest but even deeper you knew that she would never date you.
You ended up spilling this secret to Sasha. You both were feeling a little more hungry than usual and impulsive. Sasha helped herself to some stale bread found in the bottom of the pantry. She offered you the smaller âhalfâ of one of the loafs which you ate, cautiously. You found a small bottle of wine. Youâve never drank before and you thought it would be fun to do it with a friend for the first time. You turned to Sasha to show what you found and motioned that you two should leave now.
You both went far into the woods and drank the entire thing. Most of the bottle was drunk by you as you thought you deserved more because you were the one to find it. You and Sasha were pretty buzzed when the bottle was finished. Your slurred words told Sasha in great detail about your feelings for Annie. Sasha only semi listened and thought it was the most hilarious thing in the world. You had to physically cover her mouth due to her laughing so loud. The last thing you needed was getting caught. Sasha encouraged you to confess your feelings to Annie but even in your drunken state, you knew that Annie wouldnât reciprocate.
Unfortunately, Connie overheard Sasha telling Jean about your secret. It didnât take long for the word to spread and get to Annie, thanks to Connieâs loud mouth. When you discovered that Annie knew about your feelings for her, you wanted to crawl into a hole and die. Humiliation followed you that entire day.
That night you went to bed early, skipping dinner and avoiding your nightly conversion with her. You werenât hungry, the embarrassment took your appetite away. She noticed you werenât in the mess hall for dinner. So she grabbed you a loaf of bread and made her way to the cabin. Knowing sheâd find you there, where else could you be?
Annie peeked over to your bed and saw your figure facing the wall.
âY/n, I know youâre awake.â her cold tone called out.
You breath hitched, you didnât have any willpower to face her. What would you even say? What could you say that would save the friendship?
She shook you lightly and said, âI know youâre awake,â she took a small breath in before she continued, âand I know how you feel about me.â
There was a deafening silence after her statement. You didnât know whether to cry, stay still or turn around. You didnât get to weigh your options before she spoke again.
âI donât reciprocate your feelings.â
It was obvious but your chest ached actually hearing her say it. In a low, raspy tone, you whispered,
âI know.â
Annie didnât say anything, only left the bread on your bed and walked out. When you heard the door shut, your pillow was flooded in tears and silent cries.
Training wasnât the same after that. You said your occasional greetings but never visited Annie during meal times or started your nightly conversions. Now, it was Annie asking you about your days and you giving vague answers. She never urged you to talk more or pride you with more questions but she always started the conversions.

The Battle of Trost was your first fight. You and Marco decided to stick with each other. It definitely fucked with you mentally. Eren got eaten then Armin began to dissociate, many cadets ran out of gas then a muscular titan was spotted fighting all the pure titans around it. Only to find out that this fighting titan was in fact Eren. All the cadets were ordered to kill all the pure titans in Erenâs way as he tried to seal the hole that created hell in the first place.
After the order was given, you and Marco separated to carry out the mission. You were about to kill a larger titan but it was able to move at a fast pace. It saw you coming towards the nape of its neck and managed to stop you mid air by your leg. The hold it had on your leg was crushing, it broke your leg and destroyed the blades you were carrying. You dig one of the blades you had on hand between the titanâs thumb and index finger. It tightened its grip on you for a second then immediately let you fall. You used your ODM gear before you hit the ground but you knew you couldnât fight anymore. You needed to find help.
Immediately zipping to find an area with no visible signs of pure titans to quickly form some kind of plan. On your airy trip, you saw Reiner and Bertholdt on one of the roofs staring at what remained of the tarnished town. You landed on the edge of the roof behind them, which was an unpleasant land due to your broken leg. Taking a second to clutch your knee in pain, you surveyed the area for any shelter in case you couldnât make it to the tower.
Marco landed right next to you after he caught a glimpse of you not even within 30 seconds of you landing there first. He saw the condition your leg was in and gave you a concerned look before turning to the pair in front for more assistance. Just then, he stopped in his tracks as he overheard what they were talking about.
âReinerâŠ? BertholdtâŠ? Sorry but what were you talking about?â Marco questions. He tried to mask his nervousness.
You turn to see a terrified expression painted on Reiner or Bertholdtâs face. Their eyes widely staring at Marco then at you, thinking you also heard their conversion. You didnât though, you were too busy wrapped up in pain and looking for a shelter to notice that they had been talking.
âHmm? What did they say?â You winced loosely. The throbbing pain of your leg made it impossible for you to speak clearly or sit comfortably.
âYouâre going to step in with your titan?â Marco asked for confirmation.
âWhat?!â You practically yell.
âAnd Bertholdt you said you made that hole? What is this? â
Reiner and Bertholdtâs faces said it all. All the confirmation you needed to know that it was true.
âAh, Marco and Y/n⊠everything you just heard was a joke.â You even doubted Reiner believed his own lie. His expression didnât help his case.
âQue putos? Donât say shit like that again. Puto ridiculo.â You spat, disgusted that he would make a joke like that.
âHave you guys lost it?! This isnât like you! Focus on the mission. Look there are more titans coming! Letâs go!â Marco orders.
He grabs you by your abdomen and zips away. He lost trust in the pair to be of aid to your injury. The joke seemed too real to let go.
âWhat is up with them? Nothing from that interaction felt right.â You informed Marco.
âSomething is up with them but right now I need to get you somewhere safe.â
Marco noticed you slipping from his grasp so he settled on a building to adjust. Before your feet touch the ground, someone from behind pushed you and Marco into a smaller roof that was right to you guys. You crashed onto the roof with Marco slammed on top of you. You let out a horrific, painful scream but was cut off by a huge hand covering your mouth. Tears of pain and anxiety poured out from your eyes, down your face and onto the hand that was on your mouth. You didnât have to turn around and not like you could, to know who it was.
âReiner!â Bertholdt calls out.
I knew it, you thought defeatedly.
Reiner quickly lets go of your face to take a hold on Marco. He didnât have to pin you down as Marcoâs weight was already doing the job and your broken leg left you almost immobile.
âReiner, what are you doing?!â Marco asked desperately.
Marco let out small yelps in pain while you sobbed uncontrollably. You werenât sure what they would do but it couldnât be good.
âIt hurts! Please stop! We arenât going to tell anyone!â You screamed in agony.
You obviously were lying as something like this couldnât be brushed over. But in this frightening moment, youâd say anything to avoid whatever Renier was planning to do.
âI wish I could. Problem is that youâre too damn sharp for that to fool you two.â Reiner explains.
You try to squirm your way out from under Marco but your broken leg made it impossible to do it. Marco tried to scream for help but Reiner covered his mouth immediately.
Just as you were about to try to reason with Reiner once more, Annie appeared. She was breathing heavily while looking with terrified eyes at the scene in front of her.
âAnnie! Help us! Reiner has gone fucking insane!â
âAnnie, you gotta help me!â
It was almost incomprehensible what you and Marco were saying. You both begged in hopes that Annie would save you two.
â...Whatâs going on here?â Annie, horrified, questioned.
âReinerâs acting crazy! Get him off me!â Marco begged.
At this point the adrenaline had numbed the pain slightly to help you get your arms out from under. You tried to crawl out but it was useless as some of Reinerâs weight was on your legs.
âThey heard me and Bertholdt talking. If we let them live, theyâll expose us.â
You briefly stopped moving and sobbing. Hearing that a fellow comrade saying that you needed to be killed was stomach turning. Then you began to remember all the things you havenât done yet. Things you will never get to do. Your body and mind almost went numb. If Annie agreed with Reinerâs statement, there is no chance that you and Marco will make it out alive.
âYou shouldnât.. What the hellâŠâ Annie muttered.
You just stared at Annie with empty, plending eyes. Will she actually help us?
Just then everyone felt the footsteps of a pure titan coming nearby.
âA titan! Itâs coming this way!â Bertholdt shouted.
Reiner grabs Marco from behind by his shoulders and orders, âAnnie, take off Marcoâs ODM gear! Y/nâs too!â
It seemed in an instant, your body and mind regained feeling and emotion. Sadly, that emotion was horror and hopelessness.
âNo! Stop! Annie, don't do it!â You scream. You felt like fainting from the amount of fear rushing through your body.
âDo it now!â Reiner demands.
âWait, why should I have to?!â
âBack there, you risked your life to save Connie. I saw you. Whyâd you put yourself in danger for him? Seems to me you became sympathetic towards the enemy. You wanna convince me Iâm wrong? Now is the time to do it! Think of your father, heâs waiting for you to come homeâŠâ
You didnât bother to listen to Reinerâs little speech anymore. You needed to get help. Using your arms, you tried to pull yourself from under Marco.
As you struggled and thrashed, Annie bent down and rapidly began to unbuckle Marcoâs gear.
Your eyes widened and you began to scream uncontrollably to catch the attention of literally anyone.
âHELP! ANYON-â
Just then, you immediately black out. Reiner had given you a sharp hit to the back of your head so hard that it slammed onto the roof once more. The hit definitely had to have killed you before the titan had the chance to spot you.
Annie ripped Marcoâs gear off and threw it into the window beside them. Annie didnât need to take your gear off, you were practically dead. Before she followed the other warriors, she ripped off your bracelet.
The trio had flown to another roof a bit further from where they were before. They watched the scene unfold and, by God, was it spine chilling.
The pure titan grabbed Marco and quickly held it up to its mouth. It slowly took a bit of half of his face and shoulder. Then it dropped Marco from its hand and went to grab you next.
You remained unconscious up until it had lifted you up from the roof. It had grabbed you by the legs which left you hanging upside down. You screamed at an unimaginable level. Annieâs heart cracked and ached more with each scream created by your, probably damaged, vocal cords.
In a sinister manner, the titan lowers you into its mouth. Once you realized you were directly above its mouth, you knew that there was no way of surviving.
Vas a sufrir, vas a llorar cuando te acuerdes.
In your final moments, you saw the warriors and hoped that they would cry and suffer when they remembered what they did to you and Marco.
Paloma ajena, te creĂ buena.
You couldnât believe Annie would do this, never wouldâve thought that she would leave you for dead.
Ahora te marchas y me dejas con mi pena.
They ran away from a situation they created and now are watching as you screech in anguish.
And without a second to spare, the titan shoved you into its mouth. It swallowed you within seconds. Making you practically a snack.
As Annie watched you get eaten, she thought about another secret. One she hid from every soul she encountered. One kept from the warriors as well.
Annie, did in fact, love you.
She never wanted you to know and now, you never will. Marley wouldâve had her publicly hanged if they found out she was in love with you, an island devil.
Her country is very dear to her, sadly, dearer than you.
Annie falls to her knees, in guilt and despair. Her hands covered her sobbing face, she no longer wanted to see the consequence to her actions. Her guilt will forever eat her alive at every waking moment.
Annie will never forgive herself for killing the only devil she loved more than anything.
OMG YOUR REINER AND ARMIN ANGST WAS SOO GOOD đđ, maybe Iâm just over thinking it but it feels like the fics could happen in the same universe??
I totally agree! After I finished the Armin story, I also started thinking and figured that you can totally put them in the same universe! ^_^đ
I didnât wanna confirm a connection as I still wanted the stories to stand on their own and people can interpret them however they choose <3

Sitting at the campfire sharing stew with your enemies and comrades. Pieck was exposing Yelena for fabricating her past. Then Yelena was spatting out everyoneâs burdens. Probably to get everyone riled up. Yelena went around the circle, starting with the warriors. Then got to Armin.
âThereâs Armin, the level-headed one. Seems far too kind to cause the sort of blood bath he did at that harbor in Marley. How high do you think you can stack those corpses? Donât forget the civilians. There were plenty. Plenty of secret visits to Annie too. Are you aware Y/n?â
Your eyes widen then turn to look at Armin. He had an embarrassed, tired expression and looked at you for a second before his eyes shot to the floor. You looked at Yelenaâs expression that was cold and dead. Everything she said about everyone was spot on. That means⊠It's true.
You were at the table when Eren asked Armin if Bertholdtâs feelings for Annie passed on to him and Armin never replied. You wanted to believe Erenâs words, that Armin only âlikedâ Annie because of Bertholdt. He couldnât control that. And he always let you know when he was visiting Annie and would ask if youâd tag along. Claiming to keep her some company. You often declined to help Hange and Levi with plans and projects. You didnât suspect a thing until now.
âAnd Y/n, I see that youâre the opposite of Armin. Clear minded but ruthless. You donât hesitate which helped you significantly on the attack on Marley. I also heard that you previously had a relationship with Renier. Tell me, how is it that you refused to acknowledge Annie but worry about Renier? Could there be past feelings resurfacing?â
Now everyone was looking at you. Now it was your turn to feel embarrassed. Your body grew tense and eyes darted all over the floor before you let out a confused scoff.
âNo, I wasn't aware. And I treat Reiner a little more fairly since he seems to have more remorse than Annie.â
Not even you were sure if Yelena was telling the truth. You donât know your exact feelings towards Renier but you did know that you loved Armin far more.
Yelena moved on to Mikasa, not caring for your response. Tuning out everything happening around you, you dig into the past. Starting when Armin ate Bertholdt. Then you noticed the change in his timing. His errands would take a little longer, mood slightly happier and would sometimes change the subject when youâd ask what he did. It all made sense and it enraged you.
You werenât sure if thatâs cheating but your heart ached as if it was. Growing frustrated with the situation, you got up, looked at Renier then everyone else. You avoided any sight of Armin. You turned around and walked into the forest. Walking far enough to where you couldnât hear the taunting of Yelenaâs voice and passive comments.
Taking a couple breaths, you look into the sky. The purple hue brought some peacefulness in this horrid nightmare. Felt like the first time youâve been able to get away from chaos. Everyday was a new problem, created by Eren or within Pardiâs own military. Which was also due to Eren. With your body drowned in exhaustion, you began to drift off. Yelenaâs words still play in your mind as well as memories of Renier. You werenât sure how youâd face Armin again.
A few minutes after drifting off, you heard footsteps coming closer. You immediately wake up and prepare to grab your gun. They noticed this and called out, âHey, itâs fine. Itâs just me.â
Jeanâs voice brought relief. You let out a small sigh and ask, âdid they ask you to bring me back?â
âNo. I beat Renier to a pulp. Mind if I sit?â
You scoot over and shake your head.
âWhy did you hit Reiner? Looks like he got it pretty bad.â You ask, eyeing his bloody fist.
âThey told me exactly how and why Marco diedâŠâ he hissed. He covered his ears in an attempt to block out any noise and probably the words that revealed the truth behind his best friendâs death.
You were also close to Marco. After his death, it was just you, Jean, Sasha and Connie. With Sashaâs death not so long ago, the reminder of your past friend was the last nail in the coffin. You hugged Jean, letting a tear slip from your eye as well.
You held him for a bit. He didnât hug back, too distraught with the truth. Deciding to give him space, you walked back to the campfire.
The air was still tense and thick. You walk up to Renier who was laid on one of the sleeping mats. His face was still disfigured, bloody and had a few missing teeth. The steam made it hard to be sure though. You tried shaking him to wake him. Wanting the truth to come from the man himself. Renier wasnât budging, he was unconscious.
Defeated, you turn to Annie who was sitting on her âbedâ with her head buried in her knees.
She noticed you but minded her business. You walked up to her, sat down with enough distance between the both of you and quietly asked, âHow did Marco die?â
Your eyes were dull and tired. They were pleading with Annie to lay out the truth. She whispered the entire story. Rarely making eye contact with you, not that you were looking at her either. While she told you everything, you looked towards the seemingly never ending forest with furrowed brows. You imagained everything Annie described: Reinerâs orders, Annie taking off Marcoâs gear, Marco pleading with them to talk.
After she finished, she waited for you to say something. For a while you sat there in thought. Tears streamed down but your face remained expressionless. Until you came back to reality, you looked at Annie with a melancholy expression. A short sigh escaped your lips and you got up.
You grabbed your stuff to fix your âbedâ for the night. Setting up your area away from the group.
As you set up, you felt a presence. Deciding to ignore it, you laid in your âbedâ. Facing away from whoever was there.
The person crouched beside your head and whispered, âY/n, can I talk to you?â
It was Armin, the last person you wanted to see right now. You swing your head and look at him angrily.
Renier woke up from another nightmare. He reaches out for⊠nothing. Just a nightmare. Porco was sitting in a chair next to Renierâs bed.
âSounded like you were having an extra sweet dream. So Iâd thought Iâd like you enjoy it.â
âYou saved my life back there, thanks Galliard. I owe you.â
âDonât want your thanks. If I had inherited the armored titan nine years ago, none of this wouldâve happened. My brother would still be alive because he wouldnât have gotten eaten trying to protect you. And I saw Ymir's memories. I saw you through her memories. You acted like the tough, reliable type. Not at all like yourself.. I also saw how close you got to a certain⊠devil.â
Renierâs eyes widened in realization. He jumps from the bed and quickly crawls over to Porco in the chair. He grabs the hem of Porcoâs shirt.
Renier pleads, âPorco, please! I know you donât owe me a thing. But please, I never would fall in love with a devil. It had been years- I- I was bored. I wanted comfort. Please donât report meâŠâ
Tears welled up in Renierâs eyes as he remembered you. He couldnât let anyone on Marley know of you. It would be shameful for him to have fallen for an âisland devilâ.
âI donât believe you. From the memories, you seemed pretty in love. So give me one hell of a reason why I shouldnât report you?!â Porcoâs word held so much hate for Renier and his devil.
âThey were the only reason I didnât go insane on that island. Yes, theyâre a devil but not like the rest of them. Theyâre a good person but they mean little to me nowâŠâ First part was true, the last was a lie.
Porco scoffed, Reiner contradicted himself. He hated Reiner but decided to let him slide as he just came back to Marley.
Pieck then walked in on crunches. Reminding Porco to remain kind to Reiner. Sheâs too kind to him. The duo had a bit of small talk while Porco walked out of the room. Pieck left the room as well after some friendly chatter.
Reiner lays back down. He grips the pocket on his shirt tightly. Them he unbuttons it and pulls out a thick folded up paper. Unfolding it to reveal a beautiful portrait of you.
The portrait drawn by one of your best friends, Jean. Reiner had bribed Jean with extra food during their cadet training days. All Reiner wanted was a drawing of you. Jean found it cheesy, annoying but accepted anyway. There was also the condition that you shouldnât know anything about the drawing and the situation.
To play this off, Jean pretended to have you, Sasha and Connie pose. You were pretty excited to be posing and to see the finished product. But you never saw it and neither did Connie or Sasha. You honestly forgot about it after a couple days but the pair whined to Jean unapologetically to see the drawing. Forcing Jean to pull them aside and explain the situation. Jean had to explain and emphasize that they are not to spill a word about this to you. They agreed but loosely joked about the situation to themselves no matter how nearby you were. Leaving you confused often as they wouldnât explain what was so funny.
Reiner asked for the drawing a little after the two of you started seeing each other. He wanted something of you. Knowing it wrong to engage with âyour kindâ. Some days he would tell himself that you didnât deserve the hate Marley had for you. Others he was distant and ignored you, remembering his mission and original ideologies of Eldians. Regardless of his switch ups, you love him endlessly.
He pulls the drawing out every time he misses you. Now that you knew his secret, his chest physically ached from the pain and betray he inflicted on you.
Reiner told Bertholdt that he wanted to bring you to Marley, by force if he had to. Berthold obviously told Reiner he was insane and Marley would never accept you into their nation. Reiner created every excuse he would use to have Marley let you in. He was very certain of going through with it.
That was until you refused. When Reiner and Bertholdt transformed on the wall, Reinerâs titan held you in its hand. You screamed for Reiner to let go of you. Yelling a string of profanities and how could he have lied and betrayed everyone, how he could betray you.
Reiner wasnât going to let you go. Holding you so tightly, you swear he had broken your rib cage. No one would have saved you, if it werenât for Mikasa who was on the side of the wall. With her gear, she swung up and sliced the armored titanâs hand.
You fell onto the top of the wall where you were blown away a second later due to the titan transformations happening around you. You used your ODM gear to stick to the wall. After the brutal wind of the transformations, you had a clear look at the armored titan. Who was looking right back at you. You gave it the most angry heartbroken expression.
âYou make me sick!â
Those were the last words you ever told Renier. The same words still ring in his head every time he thinks of you. Words that will forever pierce his heart and mark the day he left you.
He looked at the drawing. It had been a couple years since he received it. It had many wrinkles, water droplets and small tears in the corners from how much itâs endured in his front pocket.
He knew the artist hated him but he was sure the artwork hated him so much more.

âౚà§ËâĄË àŁȘ
The sound of the horses' steps or the steel wheels moving forward couldnât overpower the deafening sound of your pounding heart. As the hours went by, you felt yourself growing more and more anxious. You were terrified of meeting your future husband. A part of you was anxious but the other was angry. Angry that your father put you up to this.
You wanted to meet someone at your own time, at your own pace. But as the years went by, your father grew more and more frustrated. Constantly nagging that you should find a wealthy husband with a good family and social status. You turned down every candidate your father proposed to you. None of them catching your eye. After years of turning âgoodâ men down, your father put his foot down and informed you that you will be married off to Alois Trancy.
A young teenage boy. Son of the late Earl Trancy. As wealthy as Alois was, the rumors couldnât be ignored. Often labeled as a incompetent spoiled brat who clings to his butler. Then there was the bigger rumor: he actually wasnât the son of Earl Trancy. His uncle, Arnold Trancy, had huge suspicions about Alois.
You peeked out the window, hoping the sight would distract you from your anxiety. Looking at the beautiful blooming trees and the gorgeous tulips. Looking further into the view you catch a glimpse of the Trancy Manor. Your anxiety kicked back in, greater than it was before.
âRemember good posture. Head and chin up. I donât need any of your filthy attitude today. Especially not around that Trancy bratâ your father demanded. He too noticed the carriage getting closer to the manor. The older man straightened his suit and adjusted his hat.
âOh please. How do you not expect me to have an attitude when youâre marrying me off to Londonâs most wealthy brat? Donât trouble yourself, I wonât embarrass you. This whole arrangement is more than enough to make me ashamedâ each word laced with venom as it left your mouth.
âIâm here if you need anything, mâlady,â your butler, James, calmly confided.
Truth is you were deathly scared of Alois Trancy. Youâve never met the boy so who knows what heâs capable of? As you were lost in worries, you finally arrived in front of the manor. You swallowed your anxiety and took a deep breath. You wouldnât allow yourself to let Alois see the fear you had for him.
The coachman stopped the carriage and brought down the steps. The first out was your father, gaining some assistance from the coachman. Then James stepped out. Finally it was your turn. Taking one final deep breath, you stepped out of the carriage with the help of James. After fully stepping down, you adjusted your gown and looked up.
Your eyes immediately landed on the blonde teenager. His eyes were already locked with yours. You felt blood rush to your ears. You broke eye contact to look at the staff he had with him.
His butler, who you knew was Claude. Always sticking by Aloisâ side. Then there were three identical triplets. Each of them was the exact same, apart from the way their plum bangs sat on their face. Then there was a maid. Tall, darker in skin tone, long silky pastel purple hair. She was beautiful. But she had a bandage on her eye. What happened?
A part of you feared that Alois had something to do with it. She seemed shy and afraid compared to the rest of the servants. Another part of you appreciated the presence of another woman. The multiple men around you made you feel uneasy, uncomfortable.
Your father flashed Alois a smile and presented, âMy lord, I bring you my daughter. Y/n Rothschild. I hope she will be able to fulfill your wishes and desires in a wife.â
âGood evening, my lordâ You picked your gown slightly and bowed.
âOh thereâs no need for that!â Alois exclaimed, dismissing your bow, âCall me any pet name your heart desires! I am to be your husband soon after all!â
Alois laughs as he comes closer to you. Taking your hand and placing a delicate kiss on the top. Then he turns to your father.
âFeel free to call me son, Lord Rothschild. Iâll call you father if youâd like. We will be family very soon.â
âClaude, have the triplets bring in Y/nâs belongings. Then I want you and Hannah to set up the living area for some tea. Quickly!â Alois demanded with a smile and clap at the end.
Claude immediately went to order the triplets to take your luggage inside. The triplets nodded before whispering to themselves looking between you, James and your father. Itâs traditional for a couple to move in after being married but your father needed you married off immediately and took any measures to make it happen. Hannah walked back into the manor to prepare the tea and desserts, Claude following shortly behind.
âOh please let me show you around!â Alois shouted.
Before anyone could say a word, Alois took hold of your hand once more and began to run into the manor. You let out a gasp when he did so. Looking back at your father and James for some sort of response. Your father chuckles at the scene, finding it amusing and James begins to follow the two of you. James wonât leave your side unless you order him to.
âItâs alright James, Iâll meet you two in the living area after the tourâ You let out, not wanting to bore him with the tour you were about to go on.
âYes mâladyâ James called out. He looked at the two teens with a troubled expression. Uneasy about what Alois would do or say during the tour.
Alois gives the longest tour known to man on his never ending manor. All you could mostly do is nod and offer small exchanges of words. Most of the talking is done by Alois. You shouldâve felt so joyful for the amount of space that Alois had to offer but you felt so empty. The space was filled with expensive decor and furniture. Nothing could shake the emptiness of the hallways or the endless rooms.
âYour room will be near mine. Of course, after we wed, weâll share my room. Itâs the biggest and the most beautiful. How does that sound darling?â Alois finally faced you again.
âThatâs perfect. Thank you,â you reply.
âCome on, let's go to the living area. It should be ready by now!â
Alois let go of your hand and ran down the curved stairs. Giggling and spinning around at the bottom waiting for you to get down. Slightly envious of how carefree he seemed to be.
Your mother always reminded you that a lady shouldnât rush as itâs unlady-like. Taking your time coming down the steps, it seemed like forever before you reached the bottom.
Following behind Alois, the two of you finally reached the living area. James and your father were already there. Hannah stood next to the table. It was full of sweets and a beautiful blue and gold teapot and matching tea cups.
âHannah, pour everyone some tea rather than looking like a pathetic wretch!â
She bit her bottom lip before saying, âYes, your highness.â
Quickly adding a tea bag into all the cups then pouring boiling water into each of them.
You looked at James and your father with wide eyes and James looked at you, Alois and your father. Your father was slightly alarmed at the sudden outburst but didnât say anything. He shook his head at you, not wanting you to comment on the situation. You gave him a silent disgusted and shocked expression. Why didnât any of them speak up for Hannah? Did she face this often? You couldnât stand the fact that Alois would speak to a woman this way.
âAlois, I suggest you treat your staff, especially Hannah, with a little more kindness. Tantrums arenât flattering.â You suggested. Giving Hannah a kind smile and a low âthank youâ when she placed your teacup in front of you.
âDarling please, Hannah is a pitiful ugly thing. Sneaking pity from guests like yourselves. Sheâll be fine, donât worry about herâ Alois explained.
âJust because she doesnât react to your demands, doesnât mean they don't affect her feelings. If you speak this way to the woman who cares for your wellbeing- I canât imagine what youâll say to me behind closed doors.â
You grew more annoyed at explaining to a teenager how his words have an effect on people. Itâs shameful and embarrassing.
You shot a look at your father, who face palmed that the fact you disobeyed his wishes of you keeping silent. You rolled your eyes at him. Waiting for Aloisâ response. But it never came. So your father decided to speak up.
âMy deepest apologies, my lord. My daughter picks up idiotic ideas from the distasteful books she reads.â
He was embarrassed to speak any further. Much more than you. He was never told no or been called out for his actions. He was also failing to impress you, his future wife. Alois would take out this frustration and embarrassment on Hannah later, away from the guests and you.
Tea was spent with your father and Alois discussing last minute wedding plans rather awkwardly. You tuned out most of the conversion. None of it appealed to you. Still angry over this being not your decision. Mindlessly giving answers to the question they would ask regarding the flowers, colors, and even the dress.
You dreamed of this day when you were smaller. Daydreaming about every little detail. Now you can only dread the date. It was only a couple weeks away. Most of the planning already being done as your father and Alois met months earlier.
Alois enjoyed the thought of being married to you, the daughter and future heiress of the Rothschild fortune. Your family was one of the richest in London. You grew up spoiled but once you actually stepped foot in the outside world, you realized how privileged you were. Alois gleemed at the thought of all the money youâd bring in once your father died.
A beautiful wife and a large fortune of money? He really can have it all.
After the discussion, it was time for your father to leave. You hated it. Hated your father for this whole ordeal but hated him for leaving. You didnât want to be alone. Sure you had James but you had no one, family wise. Claude stayed behind, explaining duties to James. Alois and yourself walked your father back to the carriage.
âI trust youâll take great care of my daughter. I want only the best for her. Best gifts, best future, best gowns, best food and the best husband.â Your father explains to Alois. He meant it really.
âOf course, she will be treated like the queen herself. Will never be short of anything.â
âI hope to see you soon fatherâŠâ you dropped the formalities. You felt like a little girl again, just wanting the reassurance of your father.
âYou will, darling. I will see you right before your big day. I promise.â
Sir Rothschild knew you were scared but he still believed this was the right choice. He brought you closer to him and gave you a delicate kiss on the top of your head.
You nodded and gave him a sad half smile. This was your life now and you had to accept it wasnât going to change.
You and Alois walked back inside silently. Both of you uneasy about who should speak first and what to even say.
âIâd like to be directed to my room pleaseâ you ask, tired and overwhelmed by the loneliness.
âOf course. Let me take you.â
You followed behind Alois until you reached your room. He opened the door and inside was breathtaking. Alois mustâve gotten a lot of information out of your father about you. The room was drowned in your favorite color with many hints of gold. All of your luggage was placed into the closets. Your favorite sweets and tea/coffee were on a tray beside your bed. The bed was also in your favorite color. The many pillows and the thick comforter made the bed look heavenly.
âThank you, this room is beautiful.â For once you gave Alois a genuine smile.
âIt was decorated just for you and to your liking. If anything is distasteful please let me know. Iâll have it exchanged immediately,â Alois giggled.
His arms snaked their way onto your shoulders. He certainly got comfortable right away. The hug caught you off guard and you became stiff. You didnât hug back or react but you also didnât oppose. Maybe you werenât alone. Just maybe youâll be alright.
After a minute, Alois let go and informed you that heâll have Claude fetch you for dinner. You nod and close the door behind him. Kicking off your kitten heels and placing your jewelry on the nightstand, you jump into the king-size bed. Letting the soft material drown your body. Deciding to take a nap before dinner.
°ââ.àłàż*:
It was almost two hours into your nap when Claude knocked on your door. Informing you that dinner was about to be ready.
You opened the door and noticed Hannah was there beside him. Greeting both of them, you stepped aside to let them in.
âAlois asked that you wear something fancy for dinner. Hannah here will help you get ready.â
And with that, Claude was gone. You turned to Hannah who was going through your closet. Picking out options for you to choose.
âMay I ask what happened to your eye? Donât worry yourself, everything you say is confidentialâ you politely asked, offering her a sweet empathetic smile.
âItâs nothing really, mâlady. Just a mistake of mine.â Her words were soft and light. Scared that someone would listen in.
You sighed, closed the door and asked lowly, âwas it Alois? I heard rumors about his temper.â
Hannah let out a small sigh and nodded.
You werenât surprised but still shocked at the fact that Alois would do such a thing to a woman.
âIâm sorry that happened to you. As long as Iâm here, Iâll make sure he wonât put his hands on you again.â You vowed.
Hannah laid out the gown for you to choose. After scanning each dress, you picked your favorite. Hannah nods before undressing you from your current gown.
âI appreciate that endlessly mâlady. I would like to thank you for advocating on my behalf.â
âOf course.â
After getting dressed and fixing your hair, you and Hannah make your way down stairs for dinner. You were now comfortable in the manor. You have someone to talk to and confide in. Hannah gave off a motherly and loving aura.
Alois was already there, sitting at the end of the table.
âOver here darling! Come sit next to meâ he exclaimed, waving from where he was.
You nodded and made your way to sit on his right side.
âYou look just devine. Canât believe my future wife is so gorgeous!â he giggled.
His compliment brought a slight tint to your cheeks.
âThank you. You are quite handsome yourself. Iâm very pleased with this⊠arrangementâ You trail off. The first half was genuine but the last half was a lie.
âI know this wasnât your decision but I plan to make you as happy as possible,â Alois picked up on your lie. You didnât exactly hide it either.
âThank you and Iâm sorry, I wish I was happy with this decision but I didnât expect it to happen so soon and with someone Iâve never met,â you were honest, you had to be. This is the person youâre going to spend the rest of your life tied to.
âI understand, maybe we just need to get to know each other! Love isnât an easy thing of course. I hope in time, we can learn to love each otherâ he almost sounded desperate.
âYes. Iâm sure Iâll grow to love you.â
You, yourself, werenât even sure if you were lying. You wanted to love Alois, you kind of donât have a choice. But you were also unsure if you can even bring yourself to love him after learning what he did to Hannah.
Dinner was okay. Alois had ordered his servant to make your favorite dish. You appreciated that. Most of the evening was spent eating and some small talk. It was awkward, of course. But Alois truly wanted you to like him. He started with the basics like favorite hobbies, shops and such.
After dinner, James and Claude cleaned up the dishes. Alois offered to walk you to your room before turning in for the night. You accepted and started walking. More small talk was exchanged and you felt yourself becoming more comfortable in his presence. Underneath his tantrums and rotten behavior, thereâs a sweet boy, who longs for love and company.
Once you reached your door, you asked Alois if he could fetch Hannah to help you for a bath. He nodded. Before walking in, you gave him a hug and a delicate kiss on the cheek. Truly enjoying dinner. He waved you goodbye and walked off to find Hannah.
You closed the door and sighed with a smile. After a couple of minutes, Hannah knocked at the door and had all the supplies needed for a bath.
After your bath, you thanked Hannah and put into your night garments. Ready to finally sleep the remaining worries away.
°ââ.àłàż*:
The weeks leading up to the wedding were great. Alois took you out of the manor to the shops, bakeries, plays and operas. The two of you spent a lot of time in his garden, enjoying each other's company. With each passing day, you became more fond of him.
Now that you were comfortable, you expressed some of your wants for the wedding. Adjusting anything that wasnât to your liking. Picking out your dress was the most fun. The day you dreaded became the day you couldnât wait for. Feeling like that little girl again. Whoâs dreams youâre finally granting.
You father did say true to his word, he came by the Trancy manor the day before the wedding. Taking you out to your favorite bakery then your favorite park. Your father told you stories of when you were little. He didnât want to think about the wedding, to him it felt like you were going to be gone forever.
°ââ.àłàż*:
The day of the wedding was very stressful. You were by no means a bridezilla but you wanted this day to be perfect. And it was. Your father and Alois made sure of it.
You couldnât find any flaw in your wedding. It was exactly to your liking. The vows were a little awkward as you didnât have a love story or any meaningful moments. The priest asked you and Alois to repeat the vows.
Alois turned to face you and repeated what the priest said, âI, Alois Trancy, take you, Y/n Rothschild, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; and I promise to be faithful to you until death parts us.â
Now it was your turn. All you had to do was say the same thing. You let out a tiny sigh, gave Alois a small smile and repeated:
âI, Y/n Rothschild, take you, Alois Trancy, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; and I promise to be faithful to you until death parts us.â
âYou may now kiss the bride.â
Alois pulled your vile over your head and took hold of your hands in his. He leans in and you do as well. A gentle kiss was shared.
All the guests got up and applauded. Some cheering, others whistling. Alois stepped down from the altar and held out his hand for you to take. You step down and take his hand. Both of you run down the aisle like little children playing. For a moment, all the worries, awkwardness, and mystery drifted away.
Many guests threw rice grains as you ran down. Once outside of the church, Alois and you stopped in front of a carriage. It was absolutely beautiful. Straight out of the fairytale books your maid would read to you.
Once inside the carriage, you and your newly husband waved goodbye to your guests as the carriage moved.
After no longer being in the views of guests, you turn to Alois.
âWhat now?â
He turns to face you, âIâm not sure darling. I assume we continue to strengthen our bond. Weâll grow to love each other.â
âI suppose youâre correct.â You gave him a sweet smile.
You scooted closer to him, hugged his arm and placed your head on his shoulder.
Not the life you wanted but you werenât opposed either. Your life is simple and pleasant now.
