Hi I want to show you my Rifter June au is that okay. Ok 💗

Basically everything is the same except prior to the events of Book 1, the Rifters come to the school to loot it and find June (obviously) Long story short: they capture her and bring her back to their base, where she proceeds to work out a deal (which is basically a last resort I can explain more on that I swear.) June works for them and climbs up the ranks; she trains in combat and actually put her journalism skills to good use by interrogating anyone the Boss Rifter wants her to! To the point where- as you can see above- by pre Book 5.5 she’s the Lieutenant. Her feelings towards her coworkers are…not the best; however, she recognizes they have a good grasp on the power dynamic of the apocalypse and provide housing and a way to survive, to feel in control and stable. (Oh and also they can get info on where her parents are so yeah. That’s pretty big. Would the Boss Rifter actually give it to her like he said he would when they made their deal…WELL!) this means she stays in her book one mindset of “every person for themselves” and doesn’t get any friends to have fun with during the apocalypse. Awh. 🙁

Come Book 5.5, the Rifters crash the shield testing while trying to get Neon (June is not with them) and the boys end up overhearing something about Thrull, so they follow, get captured, and after a bit of hijinks come face to face with …June!

She is not very happy to see them. But she is quite surprised! And that’s kinda all I have rn…I have more thoughts but I’m thinking through them but ya 🥹 I love this AU and I love June Del Toro my daughter very dearly

okay wow so live action Disney TLKOE show is…apparently happening?? And I’m just confused really

Tlkoe, to me at least, seems like something better suited for an animated series- obviously the Netflix one had its flaws but I think it did a good job at capturing the craziness of the world! And it just feels better for the long run, because with live action- people age. Look at Stranger Things. But that depends on if there is a “long run” with this show. Also, the monsters. I don’t know how much I fancy live action CGI Blarg.

I don’t MIND the aging up of the characters, not super for it but also not super against it. I think it could be cool! The biggest elephant in the room is RUBY

like…why. Why did they add her. IM REALLY NOT TRYING TO COMPLAIN TOO MUCH BECAUSE I WANNA HAVE FAITH IN THIS but especially if she’s gonna be apart of the main gang- I’m just confused on the dynamic. And Junes parents are divorced? Really have to wait and see on how they handle those things. Obviously we have very little information as of now but from what I have seen it looks like they’re trying to make this an edgier, cooler “young adult” version of the books and again, I definitely think some of the major plot points (especially from book five onwards) can be given that edge successfully! But the books r whimsy. PLEASE GOD LET THOSE KIDS KEEP THEIR WHIMSY

watched Shelby’s episode 4 and she really said I’m about to make a character that is so full of angst. The way she’s slowly growing more detached from the humans and the possibility of a cure bc she’s finding the family she never had with the vampires??? How she’s so protective of them and is willing to KILL for their safety??? Her literal IMPECCABLE timing with seeing her house-her connection to the humans-being burned down by Avid, the guy who said he wanted to help her??? Ohhhhh I have so many thoughts . So many. Everyone get more v!shelby pilled now thanks
