Faded Memories, 2021. Home vs Home Series. Acrylic on canvas.

The abstract Home vs Home series focused on building colour palettes from a variety of childhood photos. After gathering my palettes they were combined and blended  through the use of acrylic paint. Memories are patterns inscribed in the connections between the millions of neurons in your brain. Each memory has its unique pattern, they may fade over time like my piece, however, they are still there. Each colour in this blended piece represents a unique part of my life with either my first memories in the UK or my first memories in Poland.

Transitions, 2021. Black & White Self Portrait Series. 

The new self-portraiture photo series focused on the three identities.  The British, The Combined, and The Polish. I wanted to focus on the development of the TCK identity, the photographic series aims to express the existing dual-identity young immigrants experience while living in the UK, and the struggle of having to fit into both.

Overflowing my room with this series! Here’s a selection of my favourite paintings including the Kolorowa series. My work revolves around Polish folk art and the beauty of it, taking snippets of the patterns and merging them with a variety of background palettes.
