       he doesn’t protest  ;  it makes his job easier for her to pour her own drinks  ,  and besides  ,  she probably doesn’t want to do laundry any more than he does  .      regardless of his previously flippant answer  ,  he does take a moment to consider the question  ;  honestly  ,  he has no idea about his long term plans  .     ❛  i don’t know  ,  i’m really good at being a waiter  !     uh  --  i don’t know  ,  i can do whatever lets me not do anything  .  ❜

               he stumbles after the hit  ,  catching himself more through luck than anything else  .     he can tell he’s going to have a bruise form there  ,  but he just grits his teeth and moves on  .       fortunately  ,  he’s used to being lumped in as one of the twins  .      ❛  i’m mickey  .     the twin that wears the helmet  ?  ❜    

               nodding in a facsimile of wisdom, lightning doesn’t seem to notice mickey’s stumble. there was no ill intent in his playful shove, and so he isn’t looking for a negative reaction – bullish tactlessness rules over sympathy or observance.     ❛     oh, helmethead! yeah, sure, the viewing party pointed you out.     ❜     he doesn’t elaborate, instead opting to cock his head, curious, for once.     ❛    you allergic to protein?     ❜

         honestly  ,  that’s one of the kinder nicknames he’s been given regarding the helmet  ;  he wonders  ,  for a moment  ,  what names jay gets  ,  seeing as he doesn’t have the same identification privilege  .     he tries to discreetly rub his shoulder as he responds  ,  cautiously  ,  just in case  .     ❛  my brother has pku  ,  so he technically is  .    i’m fine with it  ,  though  ,  as long as it doesn’t contain milk or most fruits  ,  or most vegetables  .  ❜

SAD.

               wobbling a little in her rollerskates, zoey bends to assist, cupping her palm slightly and using her nails to scoop up any smaller bits that he could have missed.    ❛     you really think… oh, no, i – i pressured you into coming, didn’t i? you really don’t have to, i don’t want you to feel trapped or anything –   ❜     shut up, zoey, shut up shutup –  her teeth clench, and she winces.    ❛    i don’t want you to be, like, sad, all night.   ❜     

            he leans back as soon as she’s started to help  --  it’s amazing  ,  really  ,  how many reactions he’s developed and acts on by instinct  .       he’s glad his eyes are on the glass  ;  he imagines if he was looking at her  ,  his emotions would color his face  .        ❛  sad is just kind of how i look  !    really  ,  i don’t try to do things i don’t want to do  .  ❜  he picks up a small shard and drops it as soon as he feels skin break  ;  he’s digging in his pocket for a bandage before the cut even starts to sting  .

              honestly  ,  he’s a bit caught off guard by her inquiry  --  he’d found out last time that alliances were a bad idea  .     after all  ,  nearly killing someone doesn’t exactly make one a fan favorite  .      besides  ,  heather was a name he did recognize  ;  she’d be hard-pressed to find a reason to even fake an alliance with him  .     he’d stick with his brother  .                  ❛  oh  --   thank you for the advice  ,  but i’m not doing any alliances  !      those are kinda dangerous  .  ❜

Jumping up in the air ad giving a “Yay!” she held back the want to hug the smaller by in her arms before cleaning herself up. “Shall we get going then? We could use my car or walk whatever you feel better.”

Do to most believes Izzy was actually a very responsible driver, after she got removed from the RC;P the redhead became extremely careful to not break any mundane rules.

        izzy’s joy draws nearly as much attention as her begging  ,  and mickey has to struggle not to pull in on himself like a wounded animal  .     after all  ,  it isn’t like staring is the worst thing he has to deal with right now  .     he does his best not to come off as rude when he answers  ,  but he doubts he’s succeeding  .       ❛  i think walking would be better  .     cars kind of fall apart around me  .  ❜

UPSET.    

               mickey makes her sad – it’s not pity, just a deep rooted upset that comes with how well he takes bad luck. zoey can’t imagine what his life is like, knowing that at any moment he could be severely hurt, but she can empathise. she’s good at that. tucking him by her side, as if to shield him from the offending advertisement, she chances a glance up and sees his eyes reflected back at her. it’s a small blessing, whenever she forgets how popular total drama really is.     ❛     for real? yikes, mick. ‘s like how – how people are scared of dogs after being bitten by one, isn’t it? kinda.     ❜  

            the attention isn’t what bothers him  .     after all  ,  he and jay had been well-known in the entire region before they’d gotten to settle down in their current town  (  if one were to look  ,  they could find newspaper articles about these woefully unlucky boys  )  .     the issue  ,  moreso  ,  is that no one understands  --  of course they think his fear is hilarious  ,  they don’t deal with it  .      ❛  yeah  ,  just with everything  ,  or obscure things  ,  i guess  ?    i think people who watched the show think it’s exaggerated  .    for ratings  ?  ❜

          they’re rewatching past seasons  –  he isn’t sure who suggested that as preparation for the new season  ,  but he’d agreed  ,  and here he was  .     they’re only just now getting to world tour  ;  unlike seemingly everyone else  ,  this show is pretty new to him  (  he’d not spent a lot of time watching television  )  .      he’s been listening to the commentary of everyone else  ,  having very little to say  ;  even now  ,  he hesitates over his words  .     ❛  i think  – well  ,  at least you got to be on the show  !     that’s something  .  ❜

okay listen like ... it’s p obvious in show that the twins are prepared for pretty much anything  ?     obviously  ,  stuff falls through the cracks  ,  but for the most part  ,  they’ve meet things that come their way with a begrudging ‘yeah, this might as well happen.’ and like ... honestly  ,  i need to throw that into more ic stuff  !  like  ,  you know mickey can put a bandage on with one hand before he even starts to bleed  ,  right  ?  and he’s probably got the instinct to step back before he gets hit by something  ,  even if no one else would ever be able to figure out what tipped him off  .    i don’t know  ,  i just ... really like thinking about the poor boy’s life  .
