The rain continues....steady and still...just like yesterday...and the day before...and the day before that.... I can't remember exactly when my preference of sunshine has been replaced by such comfort, induced by, probably, the familiarity of this silent rain, like water, like air, like breathing. The dazzling of the sun is unimaginable now, so is any laughter. They will destroy all this quietness and timelessness, that is enveloping every thing. It will be too happy. It will be too much to bear.
Now this rain becomes part of me, or rather, I become part of the rain. This rain has become my fate. My fate has become this silent rain. I can no longer live without it. Its coolness, its generosity, its permanence and its non-existence. Please...do not abandon me. Probably it is not non-existent. Rather, it drifts between the existence and the non-existence, just like one's own breathing. Before even being thought of, it slips back into its state of non-existence. In the gap of my senses lies the non-existence. By becoming this silent rain, I escape my own existence. There is freedom; there is permanence, for once.
